It was nothing new for Merlin to have certain things happening. Yet even this was a bit strange for him. The last time that his magic urged him to go somewhere was the time when they were in the middle of the war and Arthur died.
Merlin had known at that time that Arthur might die and sadly he did. Now after almost 300 years, his heart longed for the male. It was not that surprising knowingly what the dragon said. As in theory, they might as well be soulmates. Merlin regretted having realized his feelings after Arthur got deathly injured.
Another regret was that he was not able to tell the male that he loved him. Worse was that Arthur did not just thank him but told him his love confession. It was worse as he couldn't bring anything out, at that time. That this happened pained him a lot and it was probably why he had yet to smile.
It did not help that his best friend died. Gwaine was the one person that understood him as much as Lancelot did. He also was pretty sure that the dork had known of his magic. There was no way with how knowingly the male looked at times.
His magic urged him once again to go somewhere and this time he decided to listen. There was no way that he could not. Merlin knew better with all the times that he had suffered because of him ignoring his magic trying to tell him something.
Yet what he did not expect was standing in front of people who sold and bought slaves. His brows furrowed and he was confused at why his magic told him to go there. That was until he saw that there was an auction happening and that there was right now a young male being pulled onto the stage. The male had dark blond, almost a brownish color. It was not yet brown obviously and still looked blond. Then there were the eyes. One was the color of black opal. It looked stunning for sure with how this looks rather like the night sky and then there was the other blue a way lighter of a blue Howlite. This was the color he could describe of the bi-colored eyes.
This person reminded him of Arthur, yet the skin on the other hand was that of a caramel color, the total opposite then his king was. Yet even with the changes, his magic urged him to take this person in. This could be Arthur at the same time not.
Either way, Merlin decided to listen and start to call out a number of gold coins he would pay. It took him 500 and Merlin did not care too much about money. Not when this person might be Arthur, and also he never liked slavery and now he could at least rescue one more.He did rescue another slave just recently. A slave that reminded him rather of Lancelot. A reason why he did buy that person too. It was strange to see Lancelot different. Either way, Merlin knew that this person would be as fearful as the other slave. Not that he saw this one as a slave.
He did not even have a name and what was worse they called him by number. It was why he was trying even now to figure out what name the other would like. As he did not know what name to choose and told him that he wanted Merlin to choose one.
"Take the chains off." He cooly said and they stared at him confused.
His eyes narrowed and folded his arms together as scowling. It was the same reaction he got with the Lancelot look alike. Either way, he would not let this one go.
"Either you do that now or I will make sure that you will never be able to sell any of the slaves ever again." He growled out.
This seemed to spur them on as they knew him. After all, Merlin started to be someone that had ended many of those that were going against him. By now Merlin did not really care much what people thought. He did this to stop people from continuing on doing this thing. It was clear that he would also take that down, now that he saw how they treat slaves and make sure that those that are there, go back to their country.
Yet Merlin also knew that it was almost impossible for those to find their family. Many stayed in the acquired homes that he made for those that he rescued. A sigh went out as looking at his new one and he wondered how he could make this one more relaxed.
"Follow me." This time his voice was softer than before and with one last glance and glare, he promised to come back.
Even when they would try to change their location Merlin would find them and that was a promise that he made. The male did follow him, yet looked rather wary of him, not that surprising with how he was rather intimidating just now. A sigh went out as glancing back to see that the male was looking nervous and he wanted to help to ease this one to relax.
"Now that we are rather away, touch my arm and we will get somewhere." He instructed knowing that usually they did not question people, and that was a thing that he would need to curb out too.
Questioning people is exactly what someone should do. It cannot be healthy with how those people were treated and he hated this. A reason why he was on the brink of changing people's minds about those that were sold. It was for sure going to be rather chaotic and he knew that this would cause a war for sure. A wince went through him at the thought and glancing at the male who had just now put their hand on his right arm.
"Good, don't fear I will take you away and you will never have to fear being harmed again." He mumbled softly and in a blink of an eye, they disappeared.
As they appeared at their place he felt his body relax yet the stranger was rather confused for sure. There was fear seen and from what he could feel from the hand, it was clear that this person was scared.
"Do you have a name?" He asked as turning his attention fully now towards the male.
"Um..." There was a pause and lips pressed together.
It was for sure something new and Merlin could not blame the male for feeling confused. It was not often that someone like him was treated as a human being. It disgusted him always how people thought this was alright.
