Merlin wasn't really sure what he would do when he would meet someone that wasn't an animal. The thought had not appeared in a very long time and by now he was acting more as an animal than a human for sure. Not that it was forgotten how to act around- Nevermind, there was just no way that he would know really how to act around any people.

It felt so long, but Merlin was sure that he would adapt. His gaze was going around as he was hunting in a crouched position. Breath almost silently and he finally found a way to make at least some weapon. With the use of something else than metal. It was similar to the spears that he had seen others used but the tip was out of stone.

Then footsteps were heard. The kind of once that he could hear with people. His breath hitched and he made himself small and spear gripping for when they would going to attack him. Yogi was somewhere and the foal that was by now a full-fledged adult unicorn was by for sure somewhere too. They were probably in the cave.

Both were rather protective of him and it made him always muse. His long hair was by now going too close to his butt and the beard was rather long as well. Both of these things were by now not even bothering him, but even with washing himself with water he had grime for sure in his hair and he looked not that well kept.

"Gwaine you cannot just go alone."

"Oh come on sour puss, Lancy. I am sure that it will be fine."

Two voices were heard and his heart was dropping. He couldn't believe that it was them. Breath hitched and he whimpered now. All these years, he wished for them to find him, was nowhere but he had no idea how to handle it. Not to mention he was wearing some leather parts and fur. All in all, he was not even sure that they would know that it's him.

"Gwaine you heard what Ar--"

"Sh, did you hear that?"

Once again it was said between the two but the other interrupted Lancelot. His body was tremored and he felt really anxious now. Maybe that was why he slowly stepped back and because of him being unobservant, he had not realized that there was a stick, and this lead to a snap sound.

As soon as he heard this he made a mad dash away overwhelmed meeting anyone. As well as his spear falling off his hands with a loud thud sound.

"Wait!" Gwaine called out but he was not going to stop running away, not with how he was right now fearing what they would do.

Even with him having been hunting and all, both of the others were as fast and at some point, someone ended up throwing themself on him. Merlin was startled by this, whimpering as letting also out a warning hiss. Even scratching the person yet he was not letting go.

"Hey, we aren't going to harm you." The tone was reassuring and it took him a moment to realize what was said and making his body sack down as breathing heavily. His body was still tremored and two pair of eyes were staring at him and it made him unsure what to do. As even now Gwaine had not let go of him.

A thing that made him snuggle into the arms and purr's went out. It was something that even seemed normal for him. It was how his companion acted and he had no need for words with Yogi or Evergreen.

"Wait is that-"

"Merlin?"

Lancelot first asked and Gwaine interrupted him as calling the name that he had heard in a very long time. Leading for his head to snap up and tilting his head. A confused noise was coming out as he was not entirely sure what to do now. Gwaine was comfy and he really enjoyed the hug that was given to him.

"I guess we found him." A muse was given and he now realized that they seemed a bit older then the last time he had seen and made his brows furrowed. Merlin knew deep down that it had been a while and seeing them change even that slightly thrown him off.

A growl was heard and he gave a grumble out as glancing over to Yogi who looked warningly to let go of him. It was probably looking for his companion, that he was in danger. He wiggled out and letting out a whine not wanting Yogi to harm them. Gwaine tensed up and the distraction of Yogi was enough to get him out of the touch. Even though he was not wanting to.
