Another genderfluid Merlin

It had not been something that Arthur expected but after a month of his father's death, everything changed. The law of magic being outlawed was scratched and now people that have magic can use it when it is for a good purpose, like healing or simply helping with the growth of vegetables and fruits. Even to protect others it was going to be alright, and that was why his friend Merlin was now the one that was being in charge of these cases.

It was after all that the once manservant was now a court warlock. It was for sure making him at first slightly hurt that the male hid his magic from him, but he knew the reasoning and now he was used to Merlin doing his work with magic. It was interesting to watch and the male even helped others with controlling their magic.

Camelot was blooming and even alliances were made with kingdoms that had magic kind. A nice change and he was glad to see Morgana stop listening to Morgeus and end up coming back. Even though they argued a lot, she was still his sister, an annoyance at times but still family.

But this was not the change that he was thinking of. Merlin changed sometimes, and it was a drastic change, his hair was suddenly longer and even feminine touches were seen. It was to the point that he almost was thinking that the male was female, but then a day or two later his friend was back with his old look.

Of course, he had not said anything knowing that it would be rude and so he brushed it off, just Merlin's usual shenanigans not to mention the male seemed not even saying anything about this change, so he was thinking that it was just one of these times that the male was messing with them. He mused at the many times the other had pranked people and it was fine so the time flew as usual.

With Gwaine

After hearing of the change of Camelot with magic being back and everything he was intrigued and thinking about his best friend Merlin. The male was someone that he cared deeply for and for him, Merlin needed someone desperately with how he sometimes seemed to be alone.

A reason why he was always happy to see him and so he decided to visit Camelot, after all, he hadn't seen his friends in months. The last time he saw him was with the mess of Arthur deciding to go on this mission without anyone and almost getting killed, wouldn't it have been for them.

So with this, he headed there and he was seeing how peaceful the place got. People seemed content and happy. Making him know that Camelot changed since the last time he had been there. It was clear that there always had been some tension that none seemed to point out, but this was now not there anymore.

"Hey, Gwaine, how is it going my old friend?" Percy happily asked, giving him a half hug. Which he returned obviously with a grin.

"Doing fantastic, you know, ended up breaking my new record of drinking."

The other snorted and shook his head in exasperation and he shrugged. After all, he loved to drink and the best was seeing the ladies that were working there. Some were really nice looking, not that he had found someone yet, but he had his eyes towards a particular male that was right now next to him. Not that he would ever tell this to the other, knowing how much of a mess this could get them into.

That was why he was trying to find a female so that he could find a wife out of this. So far he hadn't and that was fine with him. Either way, he pushed these thoughts away as focusing on his friend who never looked more relaxed in a very long time. At least that was what he assumed, after all the two had not seen each other often, and most of the time it was whenever the other was going home to his family. It was where they met up all three months.

"You look good, so guess the change of law helped a lot?"

"You have no idea. I am just glad that this changed, seeing these people die senselessly hurt me." A sigh was coming from the other after being told to him and he winced knowing what he talked about. 

Percy was never enjoying the execution and the same was said to Merlin. Seeing his crush/friend that content was making him know that Camelot changed for the better with Arthur being the king.
