Merthur/Merlin one shot

Memories

Merlin was not sure how to handle this all. It was 560 years since he got a friend. No one was there any more of his friends and they either were killed or died of old age. He hadn't even talked to really people. Always staying at a distance was what he tried to do. Or tried to make friends, like why should he? They will die anyway and he will end up being all alone again. His heart longed for his friends and the most it long for were was Arthur. 

Now he regretted not telling him about his magic earlier. But what he regretted the most was not telling Arthur how much he was in love with this male. And so far he waited and waited for Arthur to appear, but he never came back. By now he lost all hope and thinking that he would forever be alone. And to make it worse he hadn't aged at all. 

Merlin had his own antique shop near Lake Avalon. Just to be sure that he would be there when Arthur would come out of that damn forsaken Lake, but nothing. That was why he had given up and started to go on this bar occasionally to drown out his sorrow. There was as well a stage which he used whenever he felt like he needed to let his emotions out. And usually, when he was drunk. Like right now.

He had many drinks and when he was drunk he never cared what people thought. And his voice was really good, or that was what everyone told him. When he wasn't drunk he would never sing because he felt too shy. 

"Heeellooo todaay I am siiinging a soong which is foor the person I looved aand miss deaarly."

He slurred as he started to took the microphone and starting to let the music play. It was a song that he heard just recently and the lyrics spoke about his feelings about how he felt about Arthur, his memories with him, just everything.

His voice had a wistfulness as well as sorrow. In his voice, the people could hear about how much he missed this person.

He started as well sway in a rhythmics as his tone stayed like this, but it sounded more emotional by now. To the point, it was almost impossible for him to cry, but he wasn't yet crying.

A tear rolled down as he wasn't stopping singing and for him being drunk the words weren't that slurred. Merlin hadn't realized that two people have entered the bar. He was too occupied at singing this song.
