The moment he woke up was making him whimper out as he was having no idea how to even deal with this information. First Morgana was back and now it was alright to use magic and even having a peace treaty and even druids getting protected?

This was way too much and too fast for him. Merlin was speechless and he was unsure what to do now. He should try to tell Arthur that he had magic but he was not able to really talk much. Leading for him to feel frustrated.

So a frustrated growl went out and he when looking around he realized that Arthur watched him with a raised eyebrow and he puffed his cheeks out as an answer.

"Awe someone is frustrated?" The tone was teasingly and he narrowed his eyes as an answer.

There was a chuckle heard once again and this was not helping his frustration. Arthur looked at him a bit more intently and humming, probably trying to figure out what to say next.

"Well I know that your idiotic brain is right now thinking about something moronic, and because your not able to really talk, try it." Arthur gave him a look that made him know that he wanted him to try.

But how? It had been bad enough trying to just say the names of the people he cared but really talking? It felt just impossible. A heavy sigh went out and soon he felt his hair being ruffled.

"I won't force it but how will you be able to annoy me when you can't talk?" The tone was teasing with a grin but he also could see the concern making him flush.

"A-Um I..."

He really tried but all that escaped was stuttery mess and he growled out once again in frustration.

"Okay, take deep breaths and try again." It was said with a soft tone and he flushed as nodding.

"Ma..."

"Yes?"

"Magi..." He mumbled and Arthur seemed to know in what direction this went.

"I thought hard about this all and I know there was a lot of damaged done but..." A heavy sigh was heard from Arthur.

"There were a lot of people who tried to heal someone or done no harm. It was wrong to do this and I know that you would probably tell me off when I would continue the path my father had gone."

That surprised him and his eyes stared with puzzlement. It was the first time that he heard Arthur say something like this. It was the closest to him admitting that he cared for his opinion. It was something that he could tell but hearing this coming out of Arthur made him astonished.

"I had to say it now as you had vanished and I feared that you died. And before you say I have magic, known that one. It was pretty obvious when you think about unexplained things happening. You also were not really that well with hiding it." At the end was a shrug and he blinked owlishly and staring with wide eyes and confused tone was also escaping.

"Also a reason why I decided to change the laws." It was said with a muse and he was not knowing how to react to this all. Other then staring with wide unbelieved eyes.

"Well, anyway we should cut your hair and that beard of yours." It was said and it seemed that Arthur was changing the subject entirely now. But for him this was far from over, but for now it had to as he could not talk.

There were whimpers escaping and him trying to escape Arthur. It was just that he was not trusting him to be able to cut his beard. But his Hair was something he was not bothering too much and Merlin wanted to do that on his own but Arthur decided that he wanted to do it.

That was why he was running around the halls of Camelot and trying to escape the other out of pure anxiousness. Merlin once again realized that he was acting as a scared animal and not that surprising with how long he stayed with animals.

His body shuddered at the thought of how close the sharp object went and this alone leading for him to whimper. Yet he came not farther as bumping right into someone. His eyes widen as he was on ground. A whimper went out and he wanted nothing more then escaped from everything.

"Hey, Merlin I am not going to hurt you." The tone was soothing and he realized that it was Gwaine.

Slowly he raised his head and swallowing thickly. The male made a gesture to follow and he was glad because he really felt not comfortable here. He was soon led into a bedroom. Eyes glanced around and then back to his best friend.

"I thought here you could relax more. It's my room so we should be fine." It was said with a softness and he nodded relaxing more.

Both were soon sat in front of each other and him curled into the side. He liked the this a lot and needed some affection. It was one thing that his companion were liking to do, curling on him or the other way around.
