"Emrys don't be like this."
He could hear the exasperation coming from Mordred, but he stayed hidden. There just no way that he would go. Doctors creeped him out. There was just no way that he would get to an appointment. Even when it was in their apartment. The worst was that there would be some shots. Shots which he was scared off. Yes, he was said to be the strongest warlock walking on earth, but he just was terrified of needles.
"Really? Do I have to use my magic to find you?"
The voice was said in the same tone and he pouted now. It was now 800 years since the death of Arthur. By now Mordred was like a brother to him. And it was the usual. They got even closer and by now he was used of his sickness. Even with the shots he gets these symptoms. But they lessen at least, but he just wasn't trusting needles. Not even in this age they knew what he had.
"Alright you didn't want it any different."
He heard him say and before he even could react hands gripped his ankles and starting to pull him out. At this his pair of hands griped on something, but it was futile. The grip was not strong enough and he ended up getting picked up by the mentioned male.
"It's just one shot. How about this? When your being good, you get a treat."
Eyes stared up and first and then his pout changed to a massive excited smile. He nodded speedily and the other male was snorting at this.
"Sometimes I really wonder who the older one is."
A chuckle came afterward, and they moved now to the living room. There was now a new doctor as the old one sadly moved somewhere. Mordred made sure that this doctor knew about his fears of needles, but he still couldn't help but feel really weary.
His doctors always made home visits with him, as it was just easier for the two. The age changed and at least he had now a possibility for him to move. Wheelchairs were such a good invention. So that he could still get outside.
By now people knew about the two odd brothers and their antics. Like how they suddenly let stuff appear -aka the wheelchair- or anything. In reality it was just too small to see for others. And whenever they let something appear it was just made bigger. The spell was made by him, as he sometimes helped carrying and it was usually draining his energy.
Another thing was that there was now mute language so that he could sign it. Pretty cool- whoever has come up with this, was a genius. Now at least he could just communicate with signing alone. And god was he glad about this. It was so much easier now.
Merlin's thought process was disrupted when the doorbell rang. And he realized that he was by now sitting on his couch chair. His gut felt queasy and he started to get anxious about this. Who would be the new doctor? Would he be as kind as his old one or would it be a jerk.
This was always something he hated. You could never know how your new doctor was and in his old one was kind, but even him; he couldn't trust him about the needle thing. Eyes were wearily staring at the door entrance. Hopefully this person was kind, or he would try to run away again. Not the first time that he ended up hiding because of a doctor. Something about doctors just felt eerie.
"A warning he doesn't really like doctors too much. Let's just say he feels eerie about them. Oh, and like I said before he is mute. I am sure that you know this from the file that got send to you."
He heard Mordred explain and another voice -which he found familiar and a male one- had answered right after.
"Ah yes. I try not to scare the poor guy. Must be difficult for him to live with this."
