As they ended up arriving -around two days later- he got a culture shock. The place where they were held weird houses. They were colorful and the ground was grey almost stone-like. Yet when asked it was explained that it was not stone but concrete.
As he was following them he felt overwhelmed with how loud everything was. His body tensed and he was not enjoying this one bit. It was too much and worse was that there were a lot of people too. Leading him to go closer to the first person that was close by to him which was Gwaine.
The male pulled an arm around him making him stiffen out of surprise then he relaxed slightly enjoying the touch of his best friend. Gwaine was always someone that he knew he could count on.
A small nervous smile was given towards the other, showing that he was still too anxious with this all.
"Just don't think about the noises too hard, concentrate on ourselves alone," Percy suggested but he could not.
It was really not good for him and he could not focus on anything, but the loud noises. The way they were feeling like it was never going to end. As they entered his body decided that he was not going to continue moving and his legs gave in, making him be plopped on the ground.
Merlin was not sure that he was liking the future. There was no way that he would be able to adjust to this big of a shock. His body shivered and he was pretty sure that he would stay inside and never go outside ever again.
"Merlin?" It was the puzzled yet concerned voice of Arthur that brought him back and realizing that he was by now somewhere else sitting on a comfortable underground. As looking around he was confused but also knew that this place looked like a living room. Gaze soon shifted down to see that he is sitting on a white couch but it felt smooth and nothing like what he was used to. Then again the last time he saw any building and room was in 2021.
"Ah thank goodness your back with us. Are you alright?" The cautious yet concerned voice of Percy made him nod slowly.
"You sure?" This time it was Arthur who looked at him that kind of look whenever the other was not believing him.
Merlin pouted at this and gave him a narrowed look as he was fine. Totally fine. It was not like him feeling overwhelmed by this new world. Nope, not at all.
"You know, I don't believe you." Arthur pointed out and he huffed out.
"Alright, you look like you are in need of a bath, so I will make one and then we will see what we should do next." It was interrupted by anyone before Gwaine or Arthur could say anything or him being able to even write.
Not that he would right now. Merlin suddenly felt exhausted and it was why he was not even bothering writing or getting the paper and pen.
"Fine." Arthur sulked out and he couldn't help but muse at this. Percy soon left and his eyes dropped a few times and he was at some point too tired to even be bothered by this. So he ended up for sure falling asleep. At some point, he woke up when someone nudged him making him groan out and curl more into himself not wanting to wake up.
"Come on, when you won't wake up now the water will be cold." That was Percy's voice and he grumbled out something illegible.
Someone let out a chuckle and he could just guess that it was Arthur or Gwaine. Making him huff out, yet not opening his eyes one bit.
"I know you are tired but you really should take a bath." This time it was Gwaine and he groggily opened his eyes and let out a slight whine as he really was not wanting to bath, right now he wanted to sleep.
"Guess your that tired. Well, want one of us help you out?" It was asked by Arthur who first mused this and the last one was said with an awkward undertone.
This made him flush as he was not wanting them to see the many scars he had. But he also felt too exhausted to move, leading to a conflict and ending up with him agreeing to help. But not Arthur, as he was not wanting to make the King see his scars. Not to mention that he was his crush of his.
So he pointed at Percy and let's just say that it felt awkward but he was also too tired to think about the other seeing all the scars. It ended up with him being almost asleep and at the end of this, he was fast out, too drained to even bother staying awake.
