Merlin wasn't sure what to do. It was not even his fault, but he ended up cursed at some point.

Around hundred years after Arthur's death he was stuck in water. He could still breath outside of water but couldn't really move with a tail behind him.

So he was a merman and his tail were like his eyes, but they glittered in the sun. It looked like a golden shimmer when the sun shone at his tail. Lucky or more like how unlucky he was, he ended up stuck in the sea Avalon. So that that it was boring and dreading. Heart clenched because not even once had he seen Arthur down there.

So that swam around and sometimes peeked out just to watch other people sit and talk. But none seen him, and he made sure of this. After all People would A) freak out and B) he would end up getting experimented on or C) straight up killed.

He still had his magic and his house was still there, hidden and protected. None could enter and no one could see it. Other then people who are like Morgana or Mordred. So that he had not worried about others finding it, but it sucked.

It sucked so much. Another thing was that he couldn't talk and could just make clicking noises. It was his only way to communicate. Another thing was he never had to eat something. No hunger nothing and he was just never sick. But he still had to sleep.

It was making him mad at the person who cursed him. All he done was trying to rescue that mother's son, but he died, and the person was a sorceress. She did throw him into the lake after she cursed him, but it was still making him pout at the thought.

A few annoyed clicks went out at the memory of this person. Of course, he had to end up like this and of course it could just have been him. He starting to swim around in anger and puffed his cheeks out again. Fish dodged and a few more annoying clicks went out at this.

//I still can't believe that I ended up in a situation like this...//

A sigh was all he could muster, and he stopped what he was doing. Anger won't change anything, and he had no idea how to fix this. This was something Merlin had to live with this. So, because he was bored, he slowly swam nearer the shore and peaked out.

But no one there. He was letting out a sigh and going back down. He swam again around and wondered how long it was. It was now for sure ages. Maybe around 700 years for sure or maybe even more. The clothes were differently as well, and he was really unsure what he would do when coming out again.

Because he couldn't help Arthur when coming back. How could he? He had been stuck here way too long and he feared that he would end up overwhelmed like Arthur would be.

Eyes dropped, and he let out a whining click. He even felt tears prick and not too soon he starting to cry. He ended up swimming down and rolling himself in a ball. At some point he fell asleep, feeling the exhaustion take over.

What woke him up was a tug of his magic. It was the kind of tug he just felt when Arthur was near and the two were really close. The male even knew from his magic before he died. So that this had been really heartbreaking for him.

So he swam forward and head peaking up. A few people were there. It were people he hadn't see in a while. They were all talking about something and he longed now for them.

"Arthur why are we here?"

"Well, you remember how I mentioned that something told me to go here?"

"Yes but we never found Merlin."

"Leon, don't be so negative. I am sure that the male is up and kicking. We just need to find out where he is."

"I agree with Gwaine there."
