Merlin was always blind. It was something that made it not easy and he was picked on because of this. But the good thing was that his magic made up for his blindness. So that he could feel when people were near him. He could even feel the danger.
Even the kind of aura a person had. So, when someone had bad intention, he feels it. Merlin could even tell where things are but that wasn't meaning to make him less of a klutz. He still was really clumsy. So, it wasn't a surprised when he tripped on his own feet or over things.
Anyway, this was what happened now since a new knight ended up working in Camelot. The male was named Micheal and was having not good intentions with him. But he could do nothing because who would believe a blind menservant. But at some point, he couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Sir Michael stop putting things in front of me!" A laugh was what he got an answer and a push. His body lost balance and he fell on the ground with a thud.
"I didn't do anything. You are just clumsy."
That was said in such a menacing way but for others it would sound teasing, but he knew better. He knew the difference.
"Michael you pushed me. Don't you think that the court physician will realize that I got them not through clumsiness?"
The male laughed and he felt himself being picked up and now being carried on his shoulder.
"You need to have an adjustment. This is not how you talk to someone higher rang."
His body wiggled out and he felt a presence near him. But couldn't say anything, the fear was too much, and he couldn't really do much.
"Is he alright?"
That was Gwaine's voice and he gave him a looked that told him that he was scared right now. Which seemed to be picked up by him. Because he suddenly was pulled away and into a broader chest of a male.
"This is not how you treat someone who is blind. Even when he got hurt, you don't just carry him like a sack potato." The tone was irritated, and he felt his heart swell at this and leaning even more into the touch. His body started to relax.
"Sorry, he had injured his knee. Just wanted to help him." This was a lie and it screamed lie to him. But he stayed silent. Why bother? This male was by now liked by everyone and he was a knight.
"That's straight up a lie. Merlin didn't harm his knee because he wouldn't look that relaxed. His brows knit and he right now looked more like he gives up. Whatever your trying to achieve stay away from him. When I see you one more time near my best friend, you won't get just get a warning words."
The glare he felt from the person in front of him made him shiver and he snuggled into the touch of Gwaine. The though of him being alone with this person was enough to make him feel scared. Soon he felt them moved and his best friend was silent.
What he was thinking about? Why was he that silent? Was he mad? Had he upset him now?
These questions spiraled on his mind and he could just hope that he wasn't angry. Hoped that he wasn't going to toss him aside now. The knock that was given on a wooden door made him feel really nervous. The door even opened, and he knew that he would get now an earful of the king.
"What happened? Is he alright? Did he get hurt? Do I have to get Gaius here?" A flurry of concerned question went towards the two and by now he felt himself in a different chest. The person was Arthur and he could just tell from the scent he had.
"No but Michael had carried him like a sack potato. I don't know why, and I don't know what he planned but he had planned something." Gwaine explained and he decided to bury himself into the chest of Arthur.
