60 - New reality

Tsuki woke up to incessant buzzing. It wasn't his alarm because he didn't set one- plus it was a Sunday morning so he had no school. He pushed himself up onto his forearm and reached over the setter to his phone on the bedside, careful not to wake the younger up.

He settled back down in bed and turned the brightness down before seeing the dozens of texts on his phone. Why so many at once? He opened his messages and found that several of the texts were him being tagged in the group chat.

Karasuno: Fly High GC 🧡🏐🖤

Time: 10AM

Suga: Tsuki!

Daichi: Tsuki!

Asahi: Tsuki!

Noya: Tsuki!

Hinata: Tsuki!

Yamaguchi: Tsuki!

Time: 10:03AM

Tsuki: What?!

Suga: Oh thank god you're here! We didn't know if you were sleeping!

Tsuki: I was.

Noya: Oops?

Tsuki: What do you want?

Daichi: Hinata says he saw police cars outside Kageyama's house yesterday and he was worried that something had happened.

Tsuki: Why was he at Kageyama's house?

Hinata: I was worried so I was going to see him because he doesn't answer texts anymore but then I saw the police cars and panicked and told everyone! 😣

Yamaguchi: What happened?

Tsuki: ... Shit went down.

Tanaka: Is Kageyama okay?

Tsuki: Define okay.

Asahi: Oh no... is it serious?

Tsuki: Hold on. Give me five minutes.

Tsuki is offline.

Time: 10:05AM

Hinata: 😨 Is it bad do you think?

Noya: I hope Kageyama is okay

Asahi: 🙏

Tsuki knew if he was going to tell everyone what had been happening then he needed to be more awake. He slipped out of bed and headed downstairs to make a cup of coffee before returning to the bedroom, making sure his door was shut so nobody would come in. He got back under the covers to keep Kageyama warm, and smiled when the setter rested his head on his torso as he was sitting against the headboard.

Tsuki is online

Time: 10:09AM

Tsuki: I'll explain everything. But don't interrupt me until I'm done.

Suga: We're listening.

Yamaguchi: Take your time Tsuki 

The blond looked down at his keypad wondering how to start. He made sure the setter was still asleep before he took a sip of coffee and began to type...

Time: 10:33AM

Suga: Oh my god...

Once the conversation was over, Tsuki turned his phone off and drank the last few mouthfuls of his now-cold coffee. He was also hungry: the toast he had eaten last night not being enough. He saw Tobio was stirring so shuffled down under the covers and placed a soft kiss against the younger's lips.

"Morning."

"Hey Kei..." the setter mumbled with a drowsy voice, burrowing right into the sheets to try and get the last glimpses of sleep. 

Tsuki watched him thinking he was acting very adorably, and said they should probably go and have breakfast. He didn't want to- very content to go back to sleep- but the middle blocker was insistent.

"I will if you give me a kiss." he joked quietly, his eyes still closed.

But when Tsuki's lips met his, he melted right into them. He put one hand on the blond's chest as the older put one hand around his waist, pressing them closer together. When Tsuki decided to tease him a little and slip a hand under his t-shirt- his cool fingers tracing his warm skin- he gasped from the difference in temperature. He could feel the blond's smile against his lips as he used the moment to slip his tongue into the younger's mouth. 

Kageyama shuddered at the cool touch but moved closer to Tsuki, moaning softly when the blond moved to leaning over him and running a hand down his right thigh. They kissed for a while until the older pulled away, saying he was glad Tobio was more awake. The setter blushed and hit his chest but struggled to hide his smile. 

He sat up with some help, waiting a moment for the pain in his ribs and head to settle before he stood up, again with Tsuki's help.

"You okay?" the blond asked.

"Yeah."

But he was tired and achy and wanted to sit back down. Luckily Tsuki noticed this and lifted Kageyama up; the younger didn't complain, taking the moment to wake up some more. Tsuki sat him down on the sofa and asked if he wanted something to drink. 

"Surprise me. Oh, I need to take my meds."

Tsuki nodded and boiled the kettle whilst he went back upstairs to grab the medication bag. Whilst the blond had disappeared, Kageyama pushed himself up off of the sofa and went into the kitchen. But before he sat down at the kitchen table, a note on the fridge caught his attention.

'Kei, me and Akiteru have gone out. Do you need anything? Kageyama? Let us know and we'll be back around midday.'
