Kei took his laptop from his bag and began to do some classwork. Tobio went between watching him, the small TV on the wall, or messaging Hinata. The ginger wanted to know if he could come round sometime soon and hang out with Kageyama since they hadn't hung out in so long. Tobio said that he could in a few days because he wanted some downtime before hanging out. Hinata was completely understanding and promised to show up with meat buns and a volleyball for them to do some practise in the garden.

When Hinata said he had to go help out his mother with dinner, the setter put his phone away. He noticed Kei was nearly finished and that he still had a bit of cake left. With a small grin he made sure the blond's gaze was focused on the laptop screen before he grabbed a piece of shortcake and ate it.

Kei saw Tobio do this from the corner of his eye, but pretended not to notice at the victorious expression on the younger's face. Instead he resumed his work, but not before eating the last bit of the shortcake. He would not surrender anymore. He was glad that Tobio was so relaxed after what had happened the day before, and he knew it had been a good idea for them to visit Sobo.

Sobo sat with the boys for a while and caught up on all that had happened in the past few weeks. She gave the setter a long and strong hug when he told her about his father calling him, and said that if he felt unsafe they could always stay with her for a night or two. Kageyama said that they couldn't make her do that, that they would be a burden and get in the way, but the old lady quickly shut him down and told him that it would be a pleasure to host them. They both bowed their heads in thanks and Sobo ruffled their hair before getting them new drinks.

"She's incredible. The world needs more people like her." Tobio spoke to him quietly when Sobo left  their booth.

"I agree. But that just means we have to cherish the people around us even more."

"Yeah, we do..."

For a while Kageyama was lost in thought about all of the people he held close to his heart. There was his sister- obviously- and Kei: they were the two people really helping him through the nightmare that he calls his life. Then there was his team who were always there to support and encourage him. He really landed lucky when he decided to go to Karasuno. And then there was his grandfather who he held close to his heart; he was the person who showed him passion and determination and real strength. He missed him a lot.

"Hey, are you okay?" Tsuki asked when he saw the setter was zoned out. "Hey, Kags?"

"... Huh?"

"Are you okay? You seemed really lost in thought."

"Oh, I'm fine. Just thinking, I guess."

"Okay. But don't do too much of it because you're tiny brain can't handle it." the blond teased.

"Have you ever thought that maybe your brain is too big? Huh? Saltyass nerd."

Sobo came over to them with their drinks, chuckling at their meaningless bickering. She told them that they acted like an old married couple. Why did everyone see them this way?

"We aren't old. And we're not married." Kageyama stated with a confused expression.

Tsukishima just shook his head with a small smile before taking a sip of his drink, realising he just fell a little deeper in love with Tobio.
