The pair made their way back through the country path and back into the town. They stopped by a small convenience store and- even though the setter denied he was hungry- Tsuki brought two onigiri and two cartons of juice. He tossed them to the younger before he could protest and they ate their dinner as they walked back to the school.

Kageyama was surprised when Tsukishima didn't head up to the club room to get changed, instead staying in his uniform and only taking off his blazer, hanging it over his bag. They entered the gym and found everyone was already in there and practising their serves forwards and backwards along the net. Takeda walked over to them as Ukai was supervising the team.

"I'm glad you two are here. Now we have full attendance. But you aren't changed."

"We won't be practising this afternoon." explained Tsuki.

Takeda was quiet for a moment as he took in the first year's words. It was Tsukishima he was talking to- and Kageyama was with him- so he concluded that he must have some sort of plan because even when he was reluctant to practise, Tsukishima never avoided it.

"Very well. You can watch by the sides and do any homework you have."

At this statement, Tsuki looked down at the setter with a knowing smirk and Kageyama frowned, lightly punching him in the side.

"Come on King."

Kageyama followed the older to the same corner of the room as that morning, sliding down against the wall and letting out a quiet yawn. He covered his mouth with his hand to try and hide it but the middle blocker still saw it.

"I think that makes it 100 today."

"Shut up Beanpole."

They stayed quiet as Tsukishima took out some revision sources and Kageyama watched the players with their receives, noting their strengths and weaknesses. Every so often, the middle blocker noticed the setter would sit up a little and open his mouth as if to say something, but then frown and resume his previous state. He wondered whether this was because he was too tired to speak or whether he was afraid to speak up.

Either way, he opened his bag and pulled out an empty notebook and a pen, placing it by the younger who looked at it curiously.

"If you don't speak how are we supposed to know what you're thinking. Besides, I want to see how aggressive you can sound through writing."

Kageyama picked up the book and pen before opening up the first page and slowly making bullet point notes, putting the person's name by each one for their specific pros and cons. He hesitated every so often- wondering whether he sounded rude or not- but then Tsukishima would look over and nod slightly.

Except for once, when he teased him about his ability to make praise sound aggressive. This led to Kageyama calling him all sorts of names whilst hitting him with the notebook repeatedly, to which the team looked over with surprised and amused expressions: some enjoying the scene and some at the amount of energy Kageyama was exerting on beating up Tsukishima.

"Okay okay, I'll stop."

"Good." Kageyama stopped hitting the middle blocker and allowed him to get back to his terribly difficult looking work; he was glad Tsukishima was taking harder tests than him, he didn't think he could survive them himself.
