"Who is that?" Kageyama's father asked, casting a frown towards Tsuki.

"His name is Tsukishima." Miwa answered after a moment of silence from Tobio who had turned extremely pale.

"Why is he here? How does this boy know you both?"

"That's none of your concern."

"But it is! I demand to know who my children are fraternising with! It seems you have forgotten all of my rules these past few weeks!"

"First of all we are not children anymore." Miwa began, glaring at her father. "And second, your rules did more harm than good."

"Don't speak to me in that tone you brat!"

"Don't talk to her like that." Tobio interrupted.

"Oh? Finally talking back huh? Just know that these chains won't stop me from-"

"I dare you to finish that sentence." Tsuki stepped in alongside the officer, sending his neutral face of displeasure towards the man sitting at the desk, but unable to hide the glare in his eyes.

"Who are you to talk to him that way?" the mother interrupted, sending a sneer towards the blond. "Like before, who are you in relation to my children?"

"He's... he's my boyfriend."

If he was anyone else's father then their son would be 6ft in the ground. However, because Kageyama was so used to this treatment from his father that he simply flinched and looked down, feeling Miwa carefully grab his hand from under the table.

"He's. Your. What?"

"I'm sure you heard him the first time." Kei stated in a bored tone.

"Boy. How did you allow yourself to stoop so low? First volleyball, and now a boyfriend? No wonder you're such a failure. You truly disappoint me." the setter's mother stated before intentionally turning her face away from her son.

"You've disappointed me too." Tobio whispered.

"Excuse me?! I order you to say that again, louder."

"You don't get to order him around anymore father." Miwa exclaimed. "You're not-"

"I said you've disappointed me too. And Miwa."

Their parents said nothing but stared right at their son, as if their gazes would wither him away. But Tobio took a deep breath in and looked up, holding their gazes with an intense one of his own. Just like the one he held on the court; one that Kei hadn't seen for a long time.

"You've disappointed me. You disgust me. I don't see you as any sort of role models. You drink, you take drugs, you've abused me, you've abused Miwa, and yet you show no sense of remorse. I hate you for the way you've messed up our lives. I hate how you held me back from doing and being so much, leaving me to figure out everything by myself. I hate you for making Miwa act like my parent rather than my sister, making her mature without enjoying any of her childhood.

How do you expect me to bow down and listen to you anymore? From throwing us onto our grandfather, not giving a damn when he passed away when he did so much more for us than you ever did! It really pisses me off that you don't seem to care less about the fact that you're abandoning us again! You don't want to change and I don't think you care about us or our futures anymore!

Because you didn't love us! You never have and you never will! And I can't say I feel sorry for you because I'm not the one going to jail. I never want to see either of you again. And if you think after everything, after every cruel word or beating, that I give a damn about what you say and how you think you can still get involved in my life, then you're wrong.

I'd say goodbye, but you don't even deserve that. I hope you rot in your jail cells as long as they're allowed to keep you there."

And with that Tobio stood up and walked out of the room with Kei, Miwa following a moment later after a word of her own. She was so damn proud of her little brother for putting into words all that they had been through, all of their thoughts and feelings. She was so proud of how strong he was and knew that he was going to be okay.

Her little brother had all grown up.
