As each team held their own meeting, it was increasingly noticed that Kageyama would not be participating. The teen was finding it hard to ignore all of the glances he received as the first match began: Karasuno vs Fukurodani.

Bokuto asked aloud why the setter was sitting out, but Akaashi told him to be quiet.

"It's not important right now, Bokuto. Focus on scoring a great serve."

"You're right Akaashi!"

And although the glances decreased as the day passed, Kageyama was finding it hard to breathe. He had survived doing some math with Takeda and gave pointers to his team as he watched their match. This surprised the other teams as he was acting sort of like a captain himself; they were surprised at how well Karasuno took on his advice.

So, their curiosity grew by the end of the day, and it seemed everyone wanted to know what was wrong with Kageyama. The setter had hoped people would just ignore him and drop the subject as he really didn't feel like confessing his traumatic life events. But this didn't seem to cross anyone else's minds.

When the teams were cleaning up for the day, putting away nets and poles, several of the players of Fukurodani and Nekoma were starting to walk up to him. Kageyama looked down and clenched his fists on the bench he was sitting on, feeling that stupid feeling of dread. Thankfully, Tsuki was also about to walk over and ask if he was okay, or if he was maybe up for some private practise- since Tobio was a little down about sitting out so much- but he frowned at the setter's actions.

Speeding up his walk he reached Kageyama first and crouched down, trying to see his face.

"Are you okay?" he asked, quickly and quietly, making some people pause in their actions. They had never seen the pair interact on friendly terms before.

It took Tobio a moment to answer before he looked up and saw all of the watching faces. Now he was starting to regret coming here:

"I- I can't breathe." he stammered out.

Tsuki grew concerned and scanned the room, soon realising what was going on. Not wanting the younger male to have a full-blown panic attack, he gently pulled Tobio up and they left the gym, Tsuki trying his best to calm him down under his breath. He didn't know how the setter felt about revealing their relationship to people outside the team.

"They wouldn't stop staring at me. It's really not a big deal." Kageyama explained when the duo sat on the grass outside the gym.

"They were just curious; it's natural since you live and breath volleyball."

"I guess..."

"Do you want to tell anyone what's been going on? You don't have to, but maybe a small explanation would stop all the staring."

Kageyama considered this for a while before nodding his head, however he said he would have to think about what he would say when people asked. He would ask Suga, and obviously Tsuki, for help.

After taking a few long breaths and enjoying the cool air of the evening, they headed back inside to the cantine where everyone was eating dinner. When they entered Daichi went up to them and asked if Kageyama was okay, to which the setter just nodded and walked past, sitting down by Noya and Asahi.

"Didn't we play awesome today?" Noya asked with a grin.

"You did." agreed Kageyama. "You play well against Yaku."

"I do, don't I?!" Noya grinned before devouring his food.

Kageyama looked down with a small smile, thankful that nobody on his team was asking questions. They knew it would be like this, it was natural people had questions, but he appreciated that they knew he could handle this by himself and would come to them if he needed to.
