The ever so familiar sound of his alarm made the blond stir from his sleep. He had slept well, and that was visible in his messy hair and slight indents on his arms from the bed covers.

He shuffled around to turn off his alarm before settling back down, knowing he was in no rush since morning practise was cancelled. He looked down at the figure in his arms and found a pair of blue eyes looking up at him.

Blue eyes looking so damn tired.

"Hey." Kageyama mumbled as he continued his task of tracing small patterns on the middle blocker's stomach.

"Morning. Did you-"

"I've been up since 2. Slept too much yesterday I guess."

"Oh." was all Tsuki found he could reply with.

He hugged the setter closer and kissed him, letting him know he cared about him. Kageyama melted into it: it was soft, gentle and something that he could focus on.

Once they parted, Tsuki asked if Kageyama was hungry. The expected reply was for the younger to say no, and, well, that's what he got. Kageyama shook his head and looked down, continuing his little traces, not wanting to see all of the emotions in the blond's eyes: sadness, concern, and worst of all, pity.

"I hate to do this but-"

The next thing he knew the middle blocker had sat up in bed, stretching and ruffling his hair, before he scooped his arms under the younger and picked him up bridal style. Kageyama's eyes widened and he wrapped his arms around Tsuki's neck.

"I'm thinking soup, hm?"

The setter looked up and saw a warm smile looking down at him. He nodded his head and let it rest on the older's chest as they went downstairs and into the kitchen.

"You cook?"

"More than just pancakes."

"I used to cook, with my sister..."

Tsuki looked over his shoulder- as he took some of the ingredients he brought out of the fridge from yesterday- and saw a melancholy expression on Kageyama's face. To distract him, he talked about the different things he knew how to make and what he was doing when making the soup.

Watching him with tired eyes, Kageyama found that Tsuki was a natural in the kitchen. He knew exactly what to do and where everything was. He himself couldn't remember the last time he had had a cooked meal in his house.

It was a simple Miso soup that Tsuki had made, and when he placed two bowls on the kitchen table the smell was appetising. His stomach clenched at the sight of the food- he had managed to keep the muffin down from yesterday but the curry buns? Well, let's say he wasn't so fortunate.

"Thankyou." he said sincerely to the middle blocker, who said not to think anything of it.

Kageyama looked down at all the ingredients in the bowl as he picked up his spoon: miso paste, tofu, and an assortment of greens. He really liked the smell of it so dipped his spoon into the broth and tried a mouthful.

"Whoa." he whispered before continuing to have more.

Tsuki looked up from his bowl and saw the setter trying all of the different ingredients with a small smile on his face. A relieved smile made its way onto his face, glad the younger was eating- but more importantly, enjoying- his food.

When Kageyama had swallowed down half of the soup, he felt that regular feeling in his stomach telling him to stop. He put his spoon down and took a drink of the glass of water Tsuki poured him. Sighing, he leaned back in his chair and watched as the middle blocker finished his off.

"Finished?" asked the blond.

"Yeah. It was nice but I- I can't-"

"Hey, it's okay. Something is better than nothing, yeah?"

The setter nodded his head before pushing himself up from the table, saying he would wash up. Tsuki refused and said he made the mess so he'd clean it up. Surprisingly- as the middle blocker anticipated more reluctance- Kageyama nodded his head and went and sat on the couch, curled up on his side so he could watch Tsuki.

He frowned and looked down at his stomach, pressing a hand over it as the horrid tense feeling in his stomach returned. He tried to push it down, he didn't want to throw it up. He pressed both hands against his stomach and clenched his eyes shut.

"Whoa, hey. Hey, what's wrong?"

Tsuki was immediately by his side when he saw the tense expression on the setter's face. He crouched down next to the sofa and saw Kageyama was tense around his stomach. Knowing what was happening, he sat on the sofa and pulled the younger into his lap so one leg was on either side of his thighs.

He gently placed a hand onto the setter's cheek and lightly kissed him, trying to get his attention. Pained blue eyes slowly opened, face leaning into his palm.

"Hey, I'm going to help okay? Just try and relax."
