After finishing their drinks, Sobo packed up a small selection of her new muffins for them to take home, and they left the café into the midday bustling town. They stuck to the smaller sidewalks that were less crowded, but even then they had to weave carefully though the growing crowds. At one point, just before they reached the roads leading to Tsuki's house, the setter had to grab the blond's hand and haul him down a set of smaller alleyways to avoid the major crowds.

"I hate people." they both muttered at the same time, causing them to share a grin and a small laugh.

Eventually they reached the suburban part of town and took the familiar path back to the Tsukishima household. It was nice weather despite the seasons growing colder, and the sunlight reflected off the traces of frost on car windows. They were also pretty warm from being at the café for so long, so they could walk at a leisurely pace.

A calm quiet settled between them, each male in his own thoughts, but they didn't need to speak to find comfort in each other. The assuring hand holding their own was enough to feel those weird warm flutters in their chest everytime a palm was squeezed or a knuckle brushed. Even stupid traces of stupid smiles were apparent on their faces.

"Welcome back boys." Tsuki's mother greeted, opening the door with a warm smile as she wondered how the police visit went.

"Hello." Tobio greeted as he slipped off his shoes, tripping slightly when she brought both of them into a hug.

"Do you want any lunch? Hot drinks? I'm off today so I want to do something nice."

"We actually just went to the cafe, but we can help make dinner later."

"Then we will definitely make something nice! You boys go and relax and call me if you need anything."

Kei nodded and began to head upstairs, feeling the setter close behind him. But even when the presence stopped he carried on going upstairs, knowing his mother wanted to speak to his boyfriend alone.

"How was it Tobio? How are you feeling?" she asked quietly, resting a warm hand on the setter's shoulder.

"I'm doing okay. I sort of flipped and shouted at them, a lot. But Miwa is doing okay so I am too."

"Oh honey, you've been through so much."

Tsuki's mother began tearing up as she pulled Tobio into a hug. She lovingly rubbed a hand up and down his back as Kageyama slowly returned the hug, letting himself relax and feel safe in the embrace.

"Thankyou," he said quietly, "for all you've done for me."

"Don't say thankyou for anything, you're an official member of the family. And you've made my son so happy and open, I can never be grateful enough for that."

Tobio smiled at the comment before pulling away slowly; then he headed upstairs to their bedroom where he found the blond chilling on his phone on the bed. Hopping up onto the bed next to him, he asked who he was talking to.

"The team are wondering how you're doing. They're asking to do a face call, if you're up to it." Kei explained.

"Hm... alright. But first," the setter paused, heading over to the wardrobe and grabbing the biggest hoodie he could find, slipping it on before returning to his spot on the bed, "okay, ready."

Tsuki wrapped an arm around the setter's waist and pulled him closer, pressing a short kiss to his forehead and saying how cute the younger male was. And for once, Kageyama just shrugged and pressed on the incoming call.

"Hey." he greeted with a wave.

One by one the faces of the different team members appeared on the screen, either by themselves or with other people. Kageyama could see Hinata and Yamaguchi were together in the corner of the screen, as well as Daichi and Suga in the other. Noya was for some reason upside down and Kiyoko was sitting with a small Yachi in front of her.

"Hey Kageyama!" Hinata yelled with a wave, Yamaguchi greeting him a lot quieter from behind.

"Quiet down boke." he scolded.

"It's not even been a minute and he's given me a headache. Maybe it's some sort of superpower." Tsuki spoke quietly, making Tobio look at him and stifle a laugh; to the other members they looked like an evil couple, in the best way.

"So we wanted to call you guys to check up, but also because everyone has a few announcements." Suga began, Daichi nodding behind. "Hinata, want to go first?"

"Yeah! Okay so... me and Tadashi are dating!"

The members congratulated them whilst Kei and Tobio shared a look before giving a smirk to the couple. They were both blushing a little but accepted everyone's thanks.

"Um..." Yachi cautiously put her hand up and began turning as red as a tomato, "me and Kiyoko are dating too. She asked me to be her girlfriend last week."

Kiyoko had to repeat what Yachi said because she was talking too quietly, her voice half-muffled by her hands. Everyone cheered even louder, congratulation them for being a really cute couple. But the loudest cheers were from Noya and Tanaka, who were raving about how Kiyoko had found someone as worthy as she was.

Once everyone had calmed down from the new couples, they turned back to Tsukishima and Kageyama.

"So... you visited your parents today, right?" Yamaguchi asked hesitantly.

"Mhm. Kei told you?"

"Yeah, but entirely on accident! I was asking if he wanted to hang out, or if we could come over, but the he said you were already at the police station so I kinda figured it out!" Yamaguchi rushed out, not wanting there to be any trouble.

"Hey, it's fine. But yeah, I saw them today. Saw them, spoke to them-"

"You didn't speak to them, you sent them 6ft under." Kei stated.

"Not literally." Tobio added to the members incase they thought he had gotten physically violent.

"I assume they deserved it." Daichi commented. "I'm glad you have the courage to do something that takes so much strength, Kageyama."

"Um, thanks. I think I was sorta holding it all back for so many years that I had to stop myself. I think I could have yelled a lot longer now that I think about it."

"You said so much even Miwa couldn't add anything. Who knew you were so good with words?"

"Shut up four eyes, I'm excellent at talking down to pieces of trash. I mean, look at you."

"Ouch, that hurt. And after all those nice things my mother said about you."

Tobio scoffed and shoved his shoulder. "You're no angel yourself."

"I take that as a compliment."

The team watched their meaningless banter through the screen, very content in watching the two first years have a petty argument with stupid grins on their faces. But either way, for those few seconds Kei and Tobio momentarily forgot their existence.
