Kageyama looked at the unknown number with a small frown. He always ignored random calls, knowing they were either spam calls or those people that tried to trick you into giving details so they could steal your money. Miwa had always told him to ignore calls from unknown numbers, saying if it was someone they knew then they would text instead. But, for some reason, he felt that this was different.
Tsuki noticed Kageyama was looking at his phone for a while. It was buzzing rather than ringing, which was good since they would get kicked out if it was on loud. He saw that Kageyama looked unsure about something before answering the call and putting it to his ear.
The setter was quiet for a moment, a confused expression on his face before it turned into one of surprise. Then fear. His eyes widened and his breathing picked up, the hand that wasn't holding the phone shaking slightly, and the blond began to get worried.
Tobio hadn't looked so scared since... no way.
Kageyama could see the expression of worry on Tsuki's face, so he took the phone away from his ear and put it on speaker. It was quiet for a moment and only the sound of heavy breathing from the phone filled it, until a voice spoke. It was deep and gravelly; most of all, it sounded victorious.
"Found you."
Then the call ended and the phone fell silent once again. Kageyama put it down on the table with a small slam before standing up, still breathing fast. He started to pace up and down the room, fists clenching and unclenching as he tried his best not to panic. Tsuki heard him mutter things like not to panic, and that he knew it, and that he's going to get killed.
Standing up too, the blond walked around the table before gently grabbing hold of Kageyama's arms. The setter jumped a little before looking up and seeing Tsuki's face, causing him to let out a sigh even though he was not calming down.
"Hey, hey, it's okay."
For now.
"You're safe, alright. Nothing's going to happen."
Yet.
"It's okay. Just breath, okay?"
Tsuki tried to ignore the menacing voice in his head telling him that Kageyama was not safe and that something terrible was going to happen. He was going to keep Kageyama safe, and make sure nothing did happen ever again. How on earth he had managed to get Tobio's number he couldn't even begin to question; all that mattered now was calming the setter down.
"Just keep breathing, alright?"
He went through the breathing patterns with Tobio until he managed to breathe properly, yet the expression of fear didn't leave his face. Tsuki pulled him into a hug and ran a hand through his hair; the younger gripped onto his blazer and hid his face in his neck.
"I knew it. I knew he'd find some way to get to me." Kageyama whispered, his grip tightening.
"Look," the blond began and Kageyama looked up at him, "I don't know how he managed to contact you but we can make sure it doesn't happen again. We can call the police officer and ask him, but for now just relax okay. He can't hurt you."
"... He's gonna find me. My dad's gonna kill me."
