They decided not to go back to school since Tsuki had no lessons and they didn't want Kageyama to pass out again. They diverted paths and decided to head to the hilltop and relax for the afternoon.

The walk was quiet except for the setter complaining how he didn't want to walk after eating so much. But Tsuki just grabbed his hand and pulled him along, saying Sobo's wristband was meant to give him strength. Kageyama looked down at the coloured gemstones that seemed even brighter in the sunlight. He hadn't taken it off since Sobo gave it to him except for when he showered. He looked at it every so often- for example, when he was contemplating giving up in his exam and needed a boost of self-confidence.

He didn't know whether it was working or not, but the sentiment made him keep it.

"Do you think they work?" he asked the middle blocker as they walked up the hillside.

"Well," Tsuki began, "I don't think it matters if they do or not. It's the sentiment that matters."

"That's what I thought."

"Huh, maybe I'm rubbing off on you."

"Oh, shut up. I'm not hopeless."

"No, you're not. But then again..."

The setter turned to look up at the blond, seeing him contemplate something. They had stopped walking too.

"What?" he asked.

"It might have given me the courage to do this."

The next thing Kageyama knew was Tsuki had pulled him closer, hands resting on his waist. The blond leaned down slowly until they were centimetres apart.

"Can I kiss you?" Tsuki asked softly.

"You don't have to ask."

"I think asking makes it special."

"Then yes, you can."

"Can what?" the blond teased.

Kageyama stood even closer until they were practically kissing already.

"Kiss me." he whispered.

Tsuki smiled before connecting their lips together. His hands gripped his waist even more and the setter put one hand on the back of the blond's neck and the other on his chest. Pressing impossibly closer, Tsuki gently bit Kageyama's bottom lip causing the setter to moan softly and he slipped his tongue in. It was slow and sensual, both enjoying the moment.

When they separated the middle blocker sighed, leaning his forehead against Kageyama's. The younger teased him by pouting and saying:

"You seem to really like kissing me, don't you?"

"You're addictive." Tsuki replied. "Can I do it again?"

"Hm... do what exactly?"

"Shut up and kiss me."

Kageyama smiled before leaning back in to kiss the older, but this time denying him access to his mouth until he was getting frustrated. He leaned back slightly with a mischievous glint in his eyes, liking the way Tsuki pouted like a child. Eventually he gave in and the two kissed until they were out of breath.

"Come on, I want to sit down."

The setter took the blond's hand and tugged it until they reached the hilltop, sitting down and enjoying the warmth from the sun. It would be winter soon and so they wouldn't be able to go up here as much.

"I actually wanted to say something."

Kageyama looked at Tsuki with a raised brow before nodding and giving him his undivided attention. The middle blocker sort of looked uncomfortable so the setter told him whatever it was, it would be okay.

"I wanted to apologise."

"Wait, what for?"

"When we first met, I... I was a douche to you. I didn't know what you'd been going through and took advantage of the rumours I heard. Please hear me out." he begged when the setter seemed about to interrupt him. "I was mean and rude and didn't take your feelings into account. I wasn't nice to you and didn't make your situation any easier. I feel really guilty about it and don't feel that I'm worth-"

"Shut up Tsuki."

The blond was taken by surprise at the harsh words. He saw Kageyama was looking at him seriously.

"Listen, you didn't know any better than anyone else when we started school. I didn't do anything to prove the rumours were false anyways; it's not a lie that I was angry and cruel even if I didn't mean it. I could blame my actions on my situation: it's true that I was scraping on to any control I could get my hands on. But damn Tsuki, you've helped me so much these past few days."

"When I thought back on it, I never actually hated you. I just mistook what I felt for hate. But it took someone to point it out before I realised how I felt about you. It took someone to ask me before I did help."

"But you did. And that's what matters. I've slept and ate like normal- well mostly- and I feel better, even if it's just a little bit. You introduced me to one of the nicest old ladies I've met and you, you make me happy Tsuki."
