Tsuki walked into the bedroom to find the setter struggling to sit up. He helped the younger and sat next to him on the bed for a while, letting him use his shoulder to rest his head on.

"Did you sleep okay?"

"No idea. One moment I'm downstairs next I'm here."

"You've been out for about three hours."

"Oh. Who is downstairs?"

"The team." Tsuki answered after a long pause, not knowing how the setter would react. "They want to see you; to make sure you're okay."

Kageyama sighed, knowing he would have to face them eventually, he just didn't think it would be so soon.

"They know?"

"Yeah."

"You told them?"

"... yeah. Are you mad?"

"No, kinda relieved actually. Now I don't have to explain everything. That would be a mess."

"Okay."

Once Kageyama had woken up a little more, he asked him if he wanted to go downstairs or if everyone should come up here. The setter said downstairs but went into the bathroom for a while first.

When he came out he went into the spare room and changed his shorts for joggers. When the middle blocker asked if he was cold he said he wasn't, he just didn't want the team to see.

"See?"

The younger leaned his head back exposing his bruises and the blond understood, but also added that they wouldn't think any differently of him. Kageyama walked down the stairs slowly and headed into the kitchen first to get a drink.

"Can I-"

"You don't have to ask."

"Okay."

The setter opened the fridge and took out a carton of milk, piercing the lid with his straw before looking into the living room from where he couldn't be seen. Tsuki stood next to him and gave his hand an assuring squeeze before gesturing to him to go inside. Kageyama took a breath in then out before heading inside, saying a quiet hello when he sat down in the empty armchair, not meeting anyone's gazes.

"Hey Kageyama, it's good to see you." Suga said warmly.

"Hm."

"How... did you sleep okay?" Daichi asked, trying to start a conversation without bringing up something that could trigger their youngest.

"Fine, I guess. I don't know."

"Well, you did full on collapse." Tsuki stated as he came into the living room and sat on the pouffe.

"No shit."

Everyone was taken by surprise at how blunt the blond was, but even more surprised by how Kageyama retorted, with a small grin on his face. The setter liked how honest Tsuki was, and how he didn't try too hard to not overstep. Sure, he was careful, but never overbearing.

"Wow, okay, so are you two like a thing?" Noya blurted out.

This caused everyone to look at the libero with wide eyes whilst Kageyama choked on his milk. He violently coughed whilst Suga- who was nearest- patted him gently on the back. When he calmed down Tobio whispered a quiet 'what the hell' whilst his cheeks lightly blushed.

"I don't know. Are we?" Tsuki asked, looking at the younger.

"I don't care, sure."

"'Kay."

"Cool."

"Wah..." Hinata gaped, looking between the two first years with wide eyes.

"I always knew they had an enemies to lovers vibe." Suga said to himself, but Kageyama heard a little and looked at him with a raised brow.

"Anyways, this is not what we came over to talk about." Daichi interrupted. "Their personal lives aren't exactly priority at the moment."

"Right." Asahi agreed. "We wanted to know if there was anything we could do to help."

"Help?" the setter asked.

"Yeah, like get things from school or just come over and chat. Because Tsuki said you didn't like the idea of going to a therapist."

"You really told them everything?" the younger asked the blond quietly.

"Most of it."

"Oh... oh." His eyes widened when he realised what the middle blocker was referring to.

"But first, only if you're comfortable. We wanted to ask what happened Friday night. Tsuki told us your parents came home and- as he so politely stated- shit went down." Daichi explained.

"Only if you're comfortable with it." emphasised Suga.

They saw a broken and pained look cloud over Kageyama's eyes, and they saw for the first time just how much he was suffering.

"I... They..." the setter struggled to figure out a way to start. So, taking a deep breath, he leaned his head back as if he was stretching his neck, but so everyone could see the bruises.

Gasps filled the room alongside piteous looks.

"There's worse," he stated gesturing to his ribs, "but that's- that's what happened."

"Did they try to kill you?" Yamaguchi asked, seeing the bruises were placed in a hand-like pattern.

"Maybe. I hit my head, so I was unconscious after a while. But he- he didn't restrain himself."

"Were they drinking?" asked Suga.

"And arguing. Shouting, screaming, it-" he paused and looked down, trying to push down the rising voices in his head of his parents, making his head hurt even worse. His breathing picked up and he clenched his hands.

Tsuki saw this and crouched in front of the setter, taking a hold of one of his clenched fists.

"Hey, you're okay, you're not there anymore. Hey, you're okay."

The team had never seen Tsuki be so caring or speak so quietly. They just watched as he managed to calm the setter down. He tilted Kageyama's chin up so the younger was looking at him, and reminded him that he was safe and his parents weren't there.

"I... they were so loud." the setter mumbled.

"I know. You alright now?"

"Hm. I'm so- hm."

Kageyama cut himself off from the look the blond gave him. He muttered something about him not being able to not say sorry, and the middle blocker said that he would just have to practise.
