Kageyama returned to his house that evening, needing to get new uniform and school books. He had to take a shower, not like he didn't at Tsuki's. He also returned home because he felt like he was being too reliant and overstepping at the Tsukishima household: he'd spent several nights there and ate with them too. Thinking that they would start seeing him as using the blond he headed home for the night.

Tsuki had walked him home just like before, making him promise to let him know if his parents turned up. The setter promised and headed inside to see a broken glass bottle in the kitchen and an empty fridge. So, his parents had turned up and disappeared again.

He wondered what they did, disappearing for long periods of time, but the longer he thought about it the more he didn't want to know. At least they weren't fighting and screaming in the house. Would it be better if they just stayed away and didn't come back?

No, they were his parents. He couldn't forget them like that.

He took a long shower and packed his bag for the next day. He put his exam paper on his desk, smiling at the bright red A- on the front. He'd never gotten a score that high, he was a very consistent C/D student.

After slipping into bed he took out his phone and put it on charge whilst looking through music he had downloaded recently. He decided on I Like Me Better by Lauv and lay down in his bed, letting the music calm him down and put him in a good mood to sleep.

Yet the ever-present thought of his parents returning made it difficult to calm down; he ended up sitting up and trying some breathing exercises he looked up online to relax. The minutes turned to hours and sleep refused to come. But he eventually passed out, his body falling back and head hitting the covers harshly.

Time: 6:50AM

Tsuki 🧂: Will I see you at practise?

Time: 7:15AM

Tsuki 🧂: Hey are you okay? Still asleep?

Time: 7:45AM

Tsuki 🧂: School is starting soon, are you coming in?

The buzzes of the setter's phone didn't stir him from his sleep, nor did the three calls. It wasn't until the alarm he had set went off- reminding him to go shopping after school- did he stir.

With a groan he pushed himself up, rubbing his eyes and reaching over to his nightstand to turn off the alarm. He saw the texts from Tsuki but was too tired to call back. For some reason he had a terrible headache, probably from the busy few days he'd had. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. Wrong move.

His vision blurred and his phone fell from his hand. Kageyama stumbled forwards and collapsed to the ground, his head hurting and text mid-reply...

Tsuki looked down at his phone as they locked up the club room and split to head to class. He saw the three dots showing the younger was in the middle of replying but the amount of time the dots bounced and the fact that Kageyama wasn't a fan of long texts made him concerned.

He wanted to push it down but the nagging feeling that something was wrong made him head over to Takeda. He explained that he had to go and check up on Kageyama, and the teacher allowed it with no questions asked. Tsuki told Yamaguchi to get his class work if he didn't come back by break.

Grabbing his bags he headed out of school, walking swiftly to Kageyama's house...
