Tsuki shut the door behind him, seeing Kageyama sitting on one of the metal stairs a foot below him. He joined him and saw there was a distracted look on the setter's face, so gave him a minute to cool off. Tsuki looked at Kageyama's face and traced every feature with his eyes. From his eyes to his nose to his cheekbones to his jaw. He was beautiful.

But there were people who didn't see that, who didn't care... like his parents.

"Why'd you storm out?" the blond asked when he knew the younger wouldn't start the conversation. "You didn't look mad just... well, sad."

Kageyama turned his head slightly so he could look at Tsuki, taking a moment to really look at the male. His honey-golden eyes, blond hair and sharp jaw. Sure, the middle blocker's face was handsome, but it was also the face that stuck with him through troubling times and the face that cared for him.

"I didn't like what they asked me. About them."

"They're only trying to help. They can't do that if they don't know what happened."

"I know..."

"And the doctor," Tsuki began, noticing the setter's eyes go on alert, "they went in again."

"Hm."

"I know. Sobo showed me."

Kageyama's eyes widened and he clenched his fists. He wrapped his arms around his knees and looked away, not wanting to know what the older though of him doing that.

"You should have told me. Called, sent a text. I- why did you do it? I'm not angry." he added when the setter was unresponsive.

"You're not?" asked Kageyama in a quiet voice.

"No, I just want to help, so I can make sure it doesn't happen again."

"I..." the setter began, taking a deep breath in and out before he turned to look at the blond. "I just wanted to feel something. I was empty, in my head, my chest, and I- I couldn't think of anything else but-"

Tsuki said he understood and the younger was taken aback by the lack of anger or annoyance at him. Wasn't what he did wrong?

"B-but it's not right! I shouldn't have. And n-now I could do it again and-"

Tsuki put his hand over the setter's mouth until he stopped talking.

"We'll make sure it doesn't happen again, okay? But let me ask you one thing."

"Okay."

"If you ever, ever feel like doing something like that again. Or if you don't feel happy or safe or empty then I want you to tell me. I don't care when or where it is, but you have to let me know. Promise?"

"... Okay, I promise."

Tsuki gave Kageyama a short kiss before standing up and offering his hand. The setter took it and let out a surprised shout when the blond hugged him. He returned it as best he could, both being careful because of his injuries.

"I don't want anything to happen to you." he heard the older mutter, more to himself than to Tobio; yet the setter heard, and he hugged him tighter, resting his head in the crook of the middle blocker's neck.
