They teased all the way to the library, but not too loudly so as not to disturb the ongoing classes. They had to go down two floors to get to the library- which was on the ground floor- so they were stopped once by a teacher who asked why they were out of class. Tsuki handed them a piece of paper before getting it back and continuing their journey.

Kageyama glanced back at the teacher, who was looking back at them with a small smile at their joined hands that made him blush and turn away, before asking:

"What was on that paper?"

"A note from my teacher." the blond replied, handing over the slip of paper for the setter to read. "I figured we'd get stopped at least once so I got written permission."

"Smart."

"I know."

"Shut up nerd."

"Ouch, that hurt." Tsuki teased, and Kageyama gave the older a deadpan look.

They were now walking down the ground floor, which was for the teachers, clubs, and study sessions, and they ended up walking past a particularly loud room. Tsuki noticed there were second years in there without a teacher, so it was most likely a study session that was- regrettably- unsupervised. He also noticed Tanaka and Noya were in there and throwing paper airplanes around the room.

Wanting to not grab their attention he ever so slightly increased their walking pace when they walked past the window of the room. Kageyama noticed and asked what was up, to which he gave a brief explanation that the setter nodded too. He also did not want to be bombarded by questions from the mischief duo.

"Hey bro, look!" Tanaka exclaimed as he shook Noya's shoulder.

"What, man?" Noya asked with annoyance. "I missed the targ- ooh! I see I see."

"The lovebirds, eh?" Tanaka said with a teasing grin that made Noya laugh.

"Are they even officially together?" the libero asked when the first years disappeared from sight, seemingly in conversation with each other.

"I guess so. I mean, Tsuki asked Kageyama when we were at his house and he agreed so-" Tanaka shrugged and Noya nodded, and that was the end of that conversation. After all, there were more important things to think about, like throwing their airplanes through the target ring on the other side of the room...

"That was close. I sorta thought they would run out and start screaming in our faces." Kageyama said with a sigh when they walked down the corridor to the library doors that were at the end.

"Me too. But they seemed a little busy... studying."

"They were not studying." the setter stated with a grin.

"No, they weren't. No wonder they need remedial classes."

"Hey! I almost had to take remedial math classes but now I don't since I passed the midterm." the younger argued.

"Good, because then I'd see you less."

"Kei we live together now."

"Yeah yeah."

"You're so clingy, you know that?" Kageyama teased as he moved a little closer to the blond as they walked, allowing the older to put an arm over his shoulders with their hands still linked.

"I know." Tsuki agreed. "I'm just possessive of what's mine." he added, looking down with a smirk.

"Tsukishima."

"Oh no, the full name." Tsuki acted scared.

Kageyama just sighed and said he was exhausted and it wasn't even midday. But he wasn't exhausted from school but from people. When the older asked if that included him Kageyama looked at him with a face that said are you kidding me?

They walked into the library and greeted the librarian before finding an empty table near the back that was mostly hidden by bookshelves. It was very quiet considering there were several students in there, but the librarian did have a reputation for being especially strict. Kageyama slumped down onto a seat and dropped his bag from his shoulder; placing the few worksheets he had onto the table he leaned his head back and sighed.

Tsuki followed just without the signs of exhaustion, instead getting out his worksheets and a pen to start studying. He looked over to the younger and found that he was yawning as looked around in his bag for a pen. When he found one at last, he placed it onto the table before looking at his work with a dull face.

"You okay?"

Kageyama shook his head. "Tired." was all he said before folding his arms on the table and leaning his head atop them.

"You can take a small nap now if you want. I'll be here, and wake you up if you need to. And if you're still tired at lunchtime you can go home, fair?"

"Deal." Kageyama agreed before turning his head to the side, so his cheek was against his arms, and shut his eyes; within moments he was asleep.

But the setter woke up five minutes later, finding he was struggling to sleep. He still felt fidgety and anxious, like someone was watching him, and so he ended up sitting up and shuffling his chair around the table so he was next to Tsuki rather than opposite him. The middle blocker asked if was okay and he said he couldn't sleep. Not wanting to press it, even though he was really worried, the blond nodded and the pair started on their work.

Of course it was the usual teasing and bickering between the pair, but they made sure to do it in quiet whispers so the librarian wouldn't descend on them like a demon from hell. They held hands under the table and Tsuki brushed his thumb over Kageyama's knuckles, a small and comforting action. They got through most of their work, although they ended up getting distracted from time to doing, well, sneaking a few not so sneaky kisses.

But when the bell rang they were drawn out of their little sphere and could hear the students starting to move around the school. Kageyama asked if Tsuki wanted to leave or stay in the library for dinner, but before he could he was interrupted by a phone call.

From a number he didn't know...
