The bell jingled signalling a new customer but no heads turned in the way of the door. The customer frowned and gently shut the door behind him before heading round the corner to their usual spot. Here, a young male and Sobo were sitting together in a booth, seeming preoccupied with whatever was playing on the phone and the sheet of paper on the table.
He leaned against the wall and watched with a warm smile on his face as the male paused the video, wrote something down on the paper, showed Sobo and pressed play. Two bright smiles lit up the café and the pair celebrated.
"Found a new favourite, Sobo?"
The lady looked up to see a blond haired male with glasses walk over to them and slide into the booth next to the black haired male.
"Oh Kei, you are both my favourites! Tobio here has made a very lovely impression. He is a very rare find."
Kageyama turned red and looked down, occupying himself with what was in front of him. Tsuki ordered a drink, seeing a half filled mug next to the setter. Sobo patted his hair like always before walking into the kitchen.
"What's this?"
Kageyama looked at the intrigued face on the middle blocker's face before shyly pushing the sheet over. Tsukishima picked it up and noticed that it was revision questions for upper level fractions. He was surprised that the younger had been studying, voluntarily too.
"I've skipped twice now. I thought I could at least do something."
"And Sobo helped?"
"Oh, no!" Kageyama shook his head and laughing slightly. "We were learning together."
"A study buddy that gives you free food and drinks?" Tsuki teased.
"Shut up. That makes me sound horrible. But I haven't eaten so much in days."
Kageyama looked down and patted his stomach, as if praising it for keeping so much food down. Sobo soon returned and gave Tsuki a white chocolate mocha.
"Being adventurous?" asked Kageyama, noticing this order wasn't his usual.
"Hm."
"I tried that strawberry shortcake you like."
"And? Did you like it?"
"No."
Tsuki looked shocked, his jaw dropped as he looked at the setter. Kageyama saw this and struggled to stifle his grin.
"Your face!" he exclaimed as he burst out laughing with a hand over his mouth. "You looked so offended!"
"Shortcake is supreme and I will fight anyone who says otherwise." declared the middle blocker.
"I'm kidding, it was really good. But I prefer the blueberry muffin."
"But isn't that cannibalism?"
Kageyama was confused so he looked up at the older, tilting his head with a frown.
"Look at you, you're literally a blueberry. You're eyes are blue and you're hair has tints of blue. Plus you have a small face. You're the personification of a blueberry."
"I am?" Kageyama whispered. "I am! Tsuki I'm a cannibal."
The setter looked horrified at his actions. Tsukishima struggled to hold in his laughter; he assured the younger that he was just as bad. After all, loads of foods have salt in them.
"We are terrible people."
"The worst."
"Don't say such things!" Sobo called over from the counter, causing the two boys to smile.
