104 - Police alert

Tobio and Kei spent the rest of the evening actually watching some movies and having a few snacks, but still being unable to resist a few kisses here and there. They went to sleep just before midnight, enjoying the idea of having nothing to do all weekend but relax.

Early next morning, a constant ringing from Kageyama's phone woke the blond up from his sleep. Rubbing at his eyes with a groan, realising it was still dark due to the winter weather, he took a look at his clock to find it was 6:30AM. Who would be calling so early on in the day?

"Tobio. Hey, Tobio your phone keeps ringing. Hey, Kags, come on." 

But the setter was too tired, and simply rolled over in a deeper sleep whilst ignoring Kei's nudging to wake up. With a sigh, Tsuki grabbed the phone off the bedside and looked at the caller ID. Oh, it was the police.

"Tobio, you will want to answer this. Hey."

"Who's it?" the younger male asked whilst looking over to the blond, his black locks blocking his view slightly.

"The police."

"Huh?" This caught the setter's attention and he pushed himself up into a sitting position before taking the phone and accepting the call. "Hello?"

"Ah, hello Kageyama. Is now the wrong time?"

"No, it-" he was cut off by a yawn, "it's alright. What is going on?"

"Well, those fighting crime never sleep as they say! Anyways, today we were wondering if you would like to come down to the station and speak to your parents. Next week they will be taken to prison, and so this may be your last chance to speak to them if you wish. We are perfectly understanding if you don't want to."

Kei watched Tobio's expression as he let the policeman talk. He was visibly more awake and a little pale, but his face remained neutral. What were they saying to him?

"I can be there at 10AM."

"Of course, we will be waiting for you then. Have a good day."

"Bye."

Tobio hung up and put his phone back on the bedside rather harshly, before falling back onto the bed and groaning. Kei lay back down next to him and wrapped his arms around the setter securely when he pushed himself closer. 

"What's going on? Is it anything bad?" he asked quietly.

"No, it's fine. They asked me if... they asked if I wanted to go and visit my parents today."

"Oh? What did you say?"

"I said I would, at 10. They told me my parents are going to jail next week, so I think I should for like closure or something."

"And how are you feeling?" Kei asked, rubbing a hand up and down Tobio's back to ease the tension he felt there.

"Okay, I guess. I just don't want to freak out or something. I haven't seen them face to face since... it's been a while, hasn't it?"

"You don't have to stay long, and you can leave whenever it gets too much. You don't owe them anything."

"I know." Tobio said with a sigh, closing his eyes as if to go back to sleep.

"Come on, I'll set an alarm for 9 okay?"

"Mhm."

Kei grabbed his phone to set an alarm before settling down in bed and kissing Tobio's forehead, closing his eyes as he mentally cursed the police for interrupting their sleep.
