Though both of them are silent, their hands are tightly gripped together. Natsume keeps his stare onto Mia, who's leading the way for them and only switches his attention away from her when he heard her mumbling, "Kakitsubata-senpai..?"
In front of the Hanahime-Den entrance, three figures can be seeing conversing with one another. No.. it's more like the older girl has been expecting the children's arrival and waiting for them. Mia pulls Natsume with her and pushes her legs to reach Mikan and Chiaki. Upon caressing the sights of both sides being safe, a sense of relief engulfs all of them.
However, the sudden appearance of Kakitsubata confused them until she speaks up, "The four of you, this way".

"Hii-sama, I've brought them here" Kakitsubata informs the lady of the hanahime shrine as the children follow her lead with hesitant steps. Mia's stare was already locked onto Himemiya even before stepping into the room. Her smile is as captivating as ever, one that never failed to enthrall her guests. "It's been a while" she starts off before putting her fan down and facing Mia, Mikan and Natsume directly.
"It seems like you've been through a lot, good job." she remarks right after scanning the children's conditions and noticing their unsteady breathing and some bruises. Chiaki left the twins' side upon entering the room and went to stand beside Kakitsubata.
Mia and Mikan instinctively link their arms together, realising how cold each other's hands are. Natsume was about to stand in front of the twins but was held back by Mia who held his wrist, indicating him to stay by her side rather than shielding them like he always did. The two share a knowing look, both having doubts towards the middle school principal's real purpose; either she's a friend or an enemy.
