The Deep Oneshots Part 2

Kai just wants to take a nap.

Kai was enjoying one of her afternoon naps. She was asleep in Alpheus' study, it was one of the only quiet places on the submarine. Her human had some business to attend to and had left her and the other dragons alone.

She was having a very good dream when she heard the study door open. Alpheus wouldn't be back for hours. She opened her eyes and saw the smallest Nekton carefully tip toeing his way towards Alpheus' desk.

"Ant! Ant!!"

"Fontaine, ssssshhhh!"

Ant put his hand over his wrist.

"Where are you!"

"Alpheus' submarine."

"Why are you on Alpheus' submarine!!!!"

Ant picked up a few papers off the desk.

"Be quite, his dragons asleep and I don't feel like being dragon food."

"That still doesn't explain why you're there."

"Alpheus knows more Lumuria than any of us, there's bound to be something here that could help us."

"Get out of there."

"Relax, everything is according to plan.... please don't tell mum and dad."

"Fine, but get out of there now."

"Relax Fontaine, everything's going according to plan."

Kai had gotten bored of the child's chatter and went over to investigate what the heck the kid was doing.

"Hey guys I found something!!"

Kai let out a low growl as Ant picked something up off the table. Ant turned around, smiled nervously and waved. Kai tilted her head and looked at the paper the kid was holding. It was a sketch her human had done of some old ruins. She jumped forward and snatched it out of his hand.

"Ahhhh- oh, you just wanted the sketch back?"

Kai hummed and placed the sketch back on the desk. She then turned back to the kid. She wasn't exactly sure what to do with him.

"Ummm guys I might need some help."

"What is it Ant?"

Kai tilted her head and walked around the boy in a circle as he slowly made his way towards the door.

"Alpheus' dragon woke up."

"..... which one?"

"I don't know but they look like they're going to kill me!!"

"Ok calm down and back away slowly "

Ant continued to slowly back away. Kai huffed and used her tail to trip him. Ant screamed before he hit the floor.

"PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!!! I'M SORRY!!!"

Kai cooed and tilted her head again. After a few seconds the kid looked back up at her.

"You're not gonna eat me?"

Kai hummed and sat down in front of him. That's when Ant noticed the saddle on Kai's back.

"Mmmmh so you and Alpheus go flying interesting......"

Ant smiled. Kai knew that look, it was the same look Alpheus had when he got one of his insane ideas.

Ten minutes later Ant was sat on Kai's back.

"Ok, how does this work?"

Ant grabbed onto Kai's ears, she growled at him.

"Ok ok, ummm."

Ant grabbed onto the very top of the saddle. Kai hummed, she wanted revenge for him tugging on her ears.

"So, what no- AHHHHHHHH!!!"

Ant screamed as Kai shot up into the air.

"AAAHHHHH NONONONO!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Ant's knuckles were white as he held onto the saddle for dear life.

"DOWN I WANNA GO DOWN!!"

Kai chuckled to herself and dove down. Then she started spinning.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH NOOOOOOO!!!"

Just a few feet above the ground she opened her wings.

"IS THIS BECAUSE I PULLED ON YOUR EARS!? I'M SORRY!!!!"

Kai was about to pull up again and head out to sea when she heard a dragon call. She looked down and saw her human standing out on top of his sub. Kai turned and flew towards him. She landed gently as right beside him.

"Antaeus Nekton, care to explain?"

"Alpheus!! Your dragon is crazy!!!!" 

Ant yelled as he jumped off of Kai's back.

"I didn't do anything!!"

"You broke onto my submarine, tried to steal my research and then decided to take my dragon on a joy ride."

"Ok but still! She could have killed me!!"

"Oh please, if she wanted to hurt you she would have done it already."

Kai trotted over to Alpheus and cooed.

"Do you think that's comforting!?!"

"Whatever, let's go call your parents. I'm sure they'll be very interested to hear what you've been doing."

Ant: *tugs Kai's ears*
Kai: so you have chosen death.
