Here we go again
Alpheus was out on deck helping bring down some dragon riders that had been causing them a lot of trouble lately. And the storm cutter hit the deck, the rider on its back was thrown across the deck. Before he could stand Ryker struck him down.
While still dazed Ryker ordered his men to drag him and his dragon below deck. Alpheus watched in silence horror from his post.
"Are you alright brother? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"I'm fine, just... I'm fine."
"Did Ryker say some? I swear I will rip his tongue out."
"No he didn't... it's... its a long story I'll tell you later. "
Dagur nodded before going to help take down more dragons. The other rider was yet to retreat but was evading their attacks. Alpheus was given the order to fire. The gas was sure to take out the dragons. He had a clear shot.
Right as he fired one of the bolts fell out of place and the whole thing suddenly shifted to the left, right above where the crew were. The canister exploded not to far above their heads. While it wasn't high enough to effect the dragons in anyway but it gave them a good fright, many of the dragons flew away in a panic. The lone dragin rider, realising she couldn't win, retreated.
Ryker stormed over to Alphues, he grabbed him by the throat and lifted him off the deck.
"You could have kill us all!! What was that?!"
"Ryker. Do you want to unhand my brother?"
Heather hissed at him, getting ready to draw her axe if necessary. Ryker scoffed but dropped Alpheus before walking off to go check on their new prisoner.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine."
Alpheus replied hoarsely before rubbing his neck, it was definitely going to bruise.
"Are you sure? Maybe the healer should take a look at your neck."
"I'm sure."
Alpheus waved off her concerns as he made his way below deck. Heather decided to go find her other brother, Dagur was going to find out what happened eventually anyway. Better it came from her and not one of the crew, maybe she could stop him from going to crazy.
Heather found her brother chatting with some of the crew just outside of the cages. He spotted her almost immediately.
"Hey sis!... Are you ok?"
"I'm fine, but uh, Ryker may or may not have tried strangled Alpheus."
Dagur's face fell immediately.
"Is he ok?"
"Yes, he's fine he-"
"Good. Good."
Dagur said as he pulled his axe out of it holster.
"RYKER!!! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!"
Dagur charger up onto the deck. Heather immediately followed hoping to stop him from doing anything to stupid.
She got out on deck to see Dagur swinging his axe at Ryker, the man managed to move out of the way, the axe sparked on his shoulder armour.
The crew immediately tried to restrain Dagur hoping to stop them from killing their employer. They almost had him when the dragon rider busted out from below deck on his dragons back. Withing a second the deck became pure chaos.
Heather had been thrown off to the side by the dragon. By the time she had recovered she'd lost sight of her brother, more than half the deck was on fire and windshear had made her way out and over to her.
Climbing onto windshear's back she spotted the rider and dragon, hey had already flown up and out of the hunters arrow range. Turning her attention back to the deck she saw Dagur and Ryker still going at it, despite the fire surrounding the pair.
Heather took a deep breath, and dove toward the crew trying to keep them off her brother's back. Windshear followed suit.
The noise eventually drew Alpheus up out of his room. He paused looking out at the chaos on deck. He briefly considered going back below deck. Heather spotted him before he had the chance.
"Windshear! Fetch!!"
Windshear immediately ran towards Alpheus. She grabbed him by the back of his shirt and dragged him across the deck towards her rider. Alpheus did not seem best pleased.
"Hey sis, can you please tell your over grown reptile to, let. Me. Go."
"Windshear drop."
Alpheus' sudden drop onto the deck was less than graceful. When he had recovered Heather dragged him up onto her dragons neck.
"What are you doing?!"
"Getting us out of here!! Windshear tail strike!"
Windshear bashed Ryker into the mast, knocking him out.
"Dagur! We need to go!! NOW!!"
Dagur jumped up behind Alpheus who was giving him a strange look.
"Is that blood?"
"Hm? Oh! That! Don't worry it's not mine!!"
Alpheus raised an eyebrow but was quickly distracted when windshear took off.
Three hours later the trio finally landed. Much to Alpheus and Dagur's relief. Neither one was particularly fond of flying and it didn't help that Heather liked to give them both a little fright from time to time.
She watched them catch there breaths for a few minutes laughing to herself. When she got board she went looking for fire wood. When she got back Dagur had cleaned himself up a bit and was sitting on top of Alpheus.
"Should I even ask?"
"Alpheus was being stubborn."
"What else is new?... if you want to get up I can have Windshear sit on him?"
"Don't you dare!!"
Dagur smiled before looking over at windshear.
"What do you say dragon? Care to give us a hand with our brother?"
Windshear cooed walked towards Alpheus and flopped down on top of him, pushing Dagur off in the process. The man laughed as his brother let out a deep sigh.
"Thank you~ now I'll go catch us some dinner, you three try and behave yourselves while I'm gone!!"
Alpheus: *is to stubborn to let Dagur check his bruise*
Dagur: fine then get sat on idiot.
Now we get to see the trio really bond, with no one around to stop them. How will the world ever recover.
