The Deep Oneshots Part 2

Kaiko's gonna comitt a murder.

When the Nektons woke up the next morning they knew something was off. For once they had slept in past 9 o'clock. Coffee would usually start waking the Nektons at 8.

Ant started looking for Coffee right away. He wanted to continue Coffee's spy cat training. Ant checked everywhere, but he couldn't find him anywhere. Eventually Ant decided to check the bridge. Coffee had been spending more time there since they'd found the Ephemycron.

When he got there the Ephemycron was missing.

"MUM!! SOMEONE TOOK THE EPHEMYCRON!!!"

Ant ran to the living room and woke his parents. They were extremely worried about losing the Ephemycron and checked the security cameras. When they saw Protues kidnap Coffee and steal the Ephemycron.

The Nektons immediately began searching but they had no idea where to begin. They hoped that they'd run into Nereus at some point. Maybe he could help them narrow down the search.

Alpheus woke up in a tiny cage. He looked around hoping to find a way out. Unfortunately there was a padlock on his cage's latch. Alpheus looked around for another way out but Protues came in before he could find anything.

"Hello Alpheus, good to see you again."

"HISSS!!!"

"Right, let's get down to business." Protues smiled.

Alpheus backed up a little in his cage and hissed again.

"Loom Alpheus we could continue to be enemies or we could work together," Protues pulled a small vile out of his robes pocket.

"You see, this little potion can turn you human again. All you've got to do to get it is work for me."

Alpheus hissed at him once again. As much as he hated being a cat he hated Protues more.

"Very well then."

Protues put the vile back in his pocket.

"I'll be here when you're ready to be reasonable, it's not like you're going anywhere anytime soon."

With that Protues walked way leaving Alpheus to search for a way out.

Meanwhile the Guardians had just been informed about Protues kidnapping Coffee and were beginning a search of their own.

"Protues must know that Coffee is Alpheus, we should tell the Nektons."

"Not yet Glaucus, we need proof otherwise the Nektons will think we're insane."

"They already think we're insane! Nereus basically talks in riddles!"

"I think I'm a little better than that Glaucus."

"No, no you are not."

The three climbed into the helicopter and set a course for one of Protues' old labs.

Alpheus was fast asleep when he was suddenly woken up by a loud bang. Protues had slammed open the door.

"So Alpheus, are you ready to make a deal?"

Alpheus hesitantly nodded. He had a plan he just hoped it worked.

"Excellent."

Protues pulled the vile out of his pocket and open the cage door. Alpheus slowly walked out.

"Now, before I give you the antidot you are going to tell me everything you know about the Nektons."

Protues held the vile out in front of him. As soon as he did Alpheus lunged forward and grabbed it. He ran as fast as he could towards the open door.

"SOMEBODY STOP THAT CAT!!!"

Alpheus had to doge several guards before he finally found an open window and jumped out.

The window was a lot higher than Alpheus expected and was a jump straight onto a rocky courtyard. Alpheus landed weirdly and hurt his leg. But he couldn't stop running there were other people in the courtyard who had noticed him and were trying to capture him.

Alpheus eventually found a small cave to hide in, he decided to wait there until someone found him.

A few hours later Alpheus saw a helicopter land nearby. He saw Nereus, Glaucus and Tethys jump out and begin walking towards Protues' hide out. As soon as they were out of sight Alpheus ran over to their helicopter and jumped inside. He figured they wouldn't mind giving him a ride home, and helping him explain to the Nektons why he was suddenly human.

Protues: I'm going to hire the kid that I turned into a cat and dumped on a market with pirates
Protues: what could possibly go wrong.

You know I'm probably going to have to find a way to get rid of the antidote. You know, for plot. Not that I have one.
