It was early morning when Alpheus was woken by Aria alerting him that Kai was attempting to leave. Kai had been grounded ever since she kidnapped Ant brought him back to his submarine.

"Aria you can let her out but don't let her back in if she's carrying any Nektons."

"Understood Alpheus."

Kai happily trotted out of the sub and took to the skies.

Thirty minutes later her tail was tangled up in an old fishing net. She was not best pleased. She couldn't fly like this, her tail was really sore and all the fish had swam away. Atleast she was a good swimmer. It must have been a few hour before the Nektons sub appeared below her and lifted her up out of the water.

The small child was the first one out on deck.

"Kai!!! I need you to take me to Alpheus right now!!"

His mother wasn't far behind him. Neither was the rest of his family.

"Ant hold on. She's probably tired."

"Hey what's up with her tail?"

"It looks like a fishing net."

The mum slowly walked towards her tail and started to untangled her tail.

"There you go. Fontaine go get them med kit it think she might have broken her tail fin."

The taller child ran off. Kai stood up and stretched out. She sniffed the air trying to figure out her way home. As soon as she caught the sent she took off. She couldn't control her flight properly and fell back into the ocean.

Ten minutes later she was back on top of the Aronnax. Kaiko sighed and tried to work out a make shift splint for Kai. It wasn't going well considering Kai wouldn't let her anywhere near her tail. Everytime she got close the dragon would pull her tail away and coo at her. It was starting to get a little frustrating.

"Stay still. Please."

Kai did not stay still. Kaiko ended up sitting on top of her tail with Ant sitting next to her trying to keep her calm, as she put on the splint. As soon as she got off Kai's tail she started freaking out. They weren't able to calm her down before she broke and then flung off the splint.

Kaiko let out a deep sigh. They then spent the next twenty minutes getting her bellow deck and into a storage room. And another fifteen getting a new splint on They failed.

Meanwhile Will and Fontaine were trying and failing to contact Alpheus. They'd tried everything they could think of but he must have been out of range. They were about to give up when a voice they didn't recognise answered.

"Who is this and why are you looking for Alpheus."

"Uh. We're the Nektons, and we found his dragon and would like to give it back to him."

"Ok. Stay were you are I'll come get her."

"Wait how do you know where we are?...... hellooooo?"

"I think she's gone."

"Well we'd better find Kaiko."

They walked into the storage to find Kai hiding on top of a pile of boxes and Kaiko trying to convince her to come down.

"Hey mum, any luck?"

"Nope she won't come down. What about you guys?"

"We think we were talking to one of his friends."

"You think?"

"He has human friends?"

"Apparently. She said she'd come get her."
