The Deep Oneshots Part 2

When Finn was thirteen and Maddy was eight they were out working on the floating market. The rain was pouring down around them it made it difficult to see. Hammerhead had insisted that they finished loading the boxes onto the dark orca despite the rain.

They were all most done and were making there way over to the last box when suddenly a giant wave swept them off the market and into the sea. Finn tried to drag Maddy back to the market the the current was too strong and they were both swept away. They were lucky enough to come across some drift wood and clung onto it for dear life.

They didn't know how long they'd been out there but eventually they spotted land in the distance. The current was taking them away from the island. It would be a long swim, but Finn didn't know how long it would be before the two got another chance to get to safety.

"Ok Maddy, it looks like we're gonna have to swim for it."

"But it's so far."

"I know Maddy but we have to."

They both reluctantly let go of the drift wood and began to swim towards land.

By the time they got there they were both exhausted and collapsed onto the sandy beach they'd swam onto. After they'd caught their breath Finn started to look around. A few miles up the beach Finn could see a dome shaped building.

"Come on Maddy, we should get moving."

"No, I'm to tired."

Finn sighed.

"Ok, we'll rest here for a bit."

Almost an hour later the two slowly made their way down the beach towards the building. When they finally got there they found some stairs that lead to a door. Finn knocked and a few seconds later a man opened the door.

"Oh goodness, are you to alright?!"

"I'm- I'm sorry to bother you. We got caught in a storm and swept into the sea. We don't know where we are."

"Why don't you two come in? I'll get you something to eat and drink and we'll sort this mess out."

"Thank you."

Finn and Maddy followed the man inside. He lead them to a small living room before running off to make them some food.

Finn wasn't really sure if he could trust this guy. His dad always told him that everyone had a secret agenda, that no one was ever nice, or would ever help him if it didn't benefit them in some way. Finn didn't know what this guy could possibly gain from this. Maybe he recognised them and wanted to get in his dads good graces or maybe he wanted to trade him back to his dad.

Either way Finn had no intentions of going back to the dark orca. No matter what this guy was planning Finn would make sure that Maddy and him never had to set foot on that god forsaken submarine ever again.

Eventually the man came back, he had brought them some tea bags toast.

"Here you two go... I'm sorry I don't think I caught your names."

"I'm Finn and this is Maddy."

"Well its a pleasure to meet you two, my name is Fiction."

You problem though the Fic would be about an adult Finn, nope just Fiction being a dad to two pirates who desperately need a hug.

The Tired & Traumatized™ character who ends up being loved against their will by a chaotic found family group. 'Nuff said.
I read this promt and it's basically sums up more than half of both my books.... its perfect.
