Hi all! I'm still here! This is super short so sorry but I wanted to write a Vday story. Of course I missed that date but here ya go anyways! Hope you had some chocolate!

It was finally happening. Keith tried like hell not to smile and kept his eyes on the counter, where his hand was currently millimeters away from hers. If he just twitched a little, he'd be touching her. But he restrained himself. He wanted to soak in this moment.

Her fist suddenly clenched yet she calmly replied to his query of "What?".

"Jack, I mean it, I think we should break up."

Keith knew he should move and give them privacy but in this moment he was frozen. His eyes followed the tiny fist up to the delicate arm currently encased in a puffy green jacket and tracked upwards to her frowning face tilted slightly to the left which brought to mind the first time he ever laid eyes on the little pixie in front of him.

She had come into the shop looking for some materials to upgrade her computer. Of course Hunk was not here and he had no clue how to help her. She had that same head tilt going on and asked, "Dude, why are you working her if you don't know shit about computers?"

Keith had felt his face heat up but responded with, "Hey, I just work the register and carry shit out. I don't claim to know what I'm carrying or delivering!"

"Hmmm, so you're just the muscle?"

Keith grinned, "If you say so. But if you need help figuring out what you need, I can have~"

"Nope! I don't need help, I know what I am doing, my brother taught me well, in fact, that's how I found this hole in the wall. You wouldn't be Shiro by any chance?"

For some reason, Keith felt instantly annoyed. "No, Keith. Shiro's like my brother and let me make this crystal clear, he doesn't need another fan girl either."

Laughing, she continues, "Nope not a fan girl. Name's Pidge and my brother Matt speaks highly of this place, Shiro, and well the genius who owns it."

That day, hell that moment, changed his whole life. Because of her, he worked more hours, became friends with Lance and Hunk and helped Shiro navigate his blossoming relationship with Matt. And through all that he saw more and more of Pidge. He got to know her sarcastic comments, her genius and more than that her kind heart.

Blinking Keith quickly refocused on what was unfolding before him now. Pidge was now standing with her arms crossed and frowning, "In fact you should leave. I need things and I'm tired of your complaining and whining. What do you care what I do with my hard earned money? Who said you could tell me what I could or couldn't buy. Get real."

"Katie, stop, you don't mean that! Now darling, let's go and get some dinner."

Keith wondered if she would change her mind. He hoped not! He wanted to explore these feelings he had developed for the girl but he also knew that he would never cross the line when she had a boyfriend. BUT. If that changed, he would move forward, to the first girl who really captured his attention.
