Soo I''m never catching up, but here ya go! Enjoy, maybe work will slow down and I'll have more time!

Keith was walking around the forest. It felt like weeks that he was walking. Searching for a way off this hellhole. He was tired. Dirty. And hungry. He was quickly losing hope. There was no team here to help him. No one to radio and ask for help!

As he walked in between and over trees, he felt like he was walking in mud. It stuck to his boots and slowed him down. Making each step harder and harder. After a while, Keith realized it wasn't just mud. It was quicksand.

Slowly he felt himself sink. He tried to backtrack but he was stuck. He couldn't get his foot out. He couldn't move. Neither forward or backward. He was just held in place.

Sighing, he thought of all the things he was going to get to. Things he had planned to do. Wished for.

Date and settle down.

Get married. Buy a house.

Have kids, be a father.

He wanted the whole thing. Nightly family dinners. Where he would talk about his day and hear his kids tales. Maybe coach a t-ball team or teach them how to ride a bicycle. Maybe show them how to ride a dirt bike or drive. He wanted so much.

Keith could feel himself getting sucked deeper. He was now waist deep in the muck. He was sweating profusely and kept scanning the area. For anything. Anything that he could use to pull himself out. He didn't want it to end here.

He could see it. See all of it.

See her. Hear her snickering during a meeting. See her stealing his dessert. Feel her jump on his back and order him to carry her. Smell her scent as she walked by. He had so many memories of her. So clear. So real.

God, how could he not get his chance?! It wasn't fair. He...loved her. And now, now, he was here alone. Dying to hold her, tell her, fuck-kiss her. Why did he even wait?

Fear. Rejection? Failure to be enough. He thought. He'd give her time. Time to grow up. Time to realize they were meant to be. But no. That wasn't to be. Keith closed his eyes and tried not to cry. Not to curse the universe for once again...fucking him over. Dammit. Was this the end? Did he really miss his shot? The guy who doesn't miss?

He's now covered from the shoulders down. He tried once again to move. To wrestle himself free. He jerks hard and frees an arm! Bam!!!

"What the fuck dude?!?"

Keith's eyes snap open. He looks up to see...Lance??? "Lance?"

Lance rubs his nose and steps back. "Yeah man, you must of fell asleep, and somehow got tangled in the blanket. Hunk and I were walking and heard you moaning. So we come in and see you all tangled up. So, being the nice guy I am, I freed you, only for you to quiznacking hit me in the face!!"

Keith looks to Hunk, "Really?" Shit his voice sounded like he was sleeping. And he quickly lets them know he was having a bad dream.

When Lance questions him, he abbreviates what he dreamt and they finally leave. As Keith sits up and back, he realizes. This is it. Fate gave him another chance. And he wasn't going to wait anymore. Smirking, he thought, she won't even know what hit her. He was done waiting for the 'right' moment. If this night taught him anything it was he shouldn't wait to make his dream become reality.
