Chapter 90.

Remus was woken up by a frantic Roman, who was shaking him so hard Janus woke up beside him. "Remus! Remus you ass, wake up!"

"What?"

"Patton just called!"

Remus sat up, spinning his legs off the mattress and looking at his twin. "What?"

"Patton just called! He and Virgil are out! He said their chips malfunctioned."

"Where are they? I'll go get them!" Remus said, jumping forwards before turning back to Janus. "Are you okay if I-"

"Go!" Janus gave him a shove, and Remus snuck a peck to his head, before bounding over to his twin, already at the entrance.

"Okay. You gotta stay here. I can't take more than two if I'm not morphed, and I don't want to do it more than I need to."

Roman frowned, but nodded. "I'll go get Logan then."

Remus smiled as his twin took off at a run towards the lounge, before he left the Sanctuary and jumped to Patton's bedroom.

"Remus!" Patton said as Remus appeared.

"Patton!" Remus yelled, running forwards and hugging the smaller guy tightly. "Oh my god, dude, are you okay?"

"Not really!" Patton said with a cheerful smile. "But much better now!"

"Hey Remus!" He turned to see Virgil sitting on the bed, waving at him. Remus smiled back.

"Thank god you're okay. Roman's been worried sick, and don't get me started on Logan."

"Who?"

Remus frowned. "Logan? Patton's boy-"

"I know who Logan is, Dumbass. Who's this Roman guy everyone keeps talking about?"

"Remus." Patton said, quieter now. "The Witch made Virgil say he didn't love Roman. I think it made him forget too."

"What do we do?"

"Hopefully, removing the chip will make his memories come back, since that's what's blocking his mind."

"You remember Logan, right?"

Patton grew slightly pink. "Yes, I remember Lo."

Remus laughed a little. "Hell yeah you do." He grabbed hold of Patton's arm, before moving to Virgil. He stood awkwardly. "You two ready?"

They nodded, and Remus pulled them back to the clearing, opening the Sanctuary. Remus didn't even get the others through before Logan had dove out and grabbed onto Patton for dear life. Patton let out a giggle as they both fell back onto the grass. Remus helped Virgil into the Sanctuary.

"Virge!" Roman called, reaching out to Virgil, but Remus watched the other pull back a little.

"Who are you?"

Remus watched his brother's face fall. "It's me, Virge. It's Roman."

"Roman." Remus said, moving towards his brother. "Patton said that-" Logan and Patton came through then, before Patton spoke up.

"The Dragon Witch made Virgil say he didn't love you, Roman. I think it made him forget you, too."

Remus watched his brother take a step away, looking at Virgil like his world had just burned. Virgil moved forwards, before pulling back again. Remus looked down. The purple ranger eyes were trained on Roman, and his hands were twitching at his sides like they wanted to reach, but weren't sure why.

"Can we-" Roman stumbled over his words. "If we remove the chip, do you think..."

"It is most likely." Logan nodded, before looking at Patton. "Would you be willing to let us take care of Virgil's first?"
