Patton stumbled to the floor as Remus was hit in the head.

"Fuck off from my brother!" Roman screamed, and launched toward her. Patton tested his hands. Freddie had been right. With Remus activating the black morpher, Patton could feel his own powers surge in his bones. He felt like he was made from helium. Patton lifted back into the air, charging forward along with Roman, and noticed as Logan lifted both Virgil and Janus from the ground. They all reached Remus together, and began to attack in sync with each other. If Patton threw a punch, then Janus was right behind to kick her. Remus was on his feet now, and swinging back at her for the damage she'd done to him. Slowly, the Witch began to back up towards the curtain, struggling to keep up with the barrage of attacks against her.

Almost there! Roman said in Patton's head, and Virgil gave her a solid kick back. She fell, landing at the edge of the Sanctuary.

"I will end you all. You will ne-"

"Save it, Bitch." Roman said, and moved forward. She stood up, and Patton moved forward to help push her back. "We aren't scared of you, and by the looks of it, you're pretty damn scared of us."

With that, Roman gave her a shove, and the Witch screamed. Then Patton felt her stoney hand against his and he was pulled through as well.

Patton closed his eyes as the Witch's eyes faded over and she died. He tried to pull away, but her hand had turned to real stone. Patton tried to scream, but nothing came out. Then he felt it. Everything and nothing all at once. Patton could feel the beating thrum of everything around him, like everything had its own heartbeat. He looked around, seeing the most incredible, beautiful things in front of him. Planets growing trees, People, both human and not, living their lives.

Then Patton saw the most awful things. Watching as planets collided with each other, crashing into a million pieces that Patton could count. He saw people fighting, slitting other people's throats or ripping them apart. He saw lives beginning and ended as fast as he could blink, and he saw stars forming and dying with every breath.

If this was what the Witch had seen, Patton could understand the fear. Then he saw his pops with his Nona, talking to her until Patton could feel the light fade from her body.

Then he felt a hand on his boot, and he was pulled back into the Sanctuary as the Witch's hand broke off from his own. He saw her float away.

"Patton!" A chorus of voices came from around him. How old were they?

"How long-"

"Only a few minutes." Roman answered, and Patton felt a set of arms around him.

"Deactivate." Patton said, flashing his pink hue before seeing a blue light around him. He curled into Logan's arms. "Oh my god, Lo. That was..."

"What happened?"

"I don't know." Patton said, feeling his voice crack. Then there was a red flash, and Roman's arms were around him, then yellow, then green, and finally purple. He could see them all huddled close, holding on like they were the last things to hold onto. Patton heard someone's chest shudder, until they were all crying messes on the floor.

There was a moment before any of them pulled away.

"Is it over?" Janus asked. "Like, really, completely over?"

"For her?" Roman started. "Yes. For us? This is only the beginning."

"Subtle, Ro." Virgil teased. Patton smiled as he laid his cheek on Logan's shoulder. He could feel Logan's chin on his head, and Logan's hand was rubbing soft circles on his back. Patton hiccuped.
