While Błażej tried to fight the memories and called himself to order with a sense of responsibility, Makary, unlike him, enjoyed them. He didn't have to worry about anything, everything seemed better because of them. Hazel-eyed didn't even care that he wasn't focused on work.

His co-workers looked at him with smiles and were glad that he didn't make mistakes, so they didn't have to look at his hands. Moreover, the atmosphere of happiness he spread around was shared by everyone, and even the most ardent opponents of the morning shifts were in a surprisingly good mood. The younger part of the crew envied him, while the slightly older one felt the need to remember their own love experiences from their youth.

Makary went outside for a break, not knowing that in the meantime his mother had visited the restaurant and was surprised by the atmosphere in the place. Even the guests were intoxicated by it and were more willing to talk to each other than stay on their phones.

"Did anything interesting happen?" she asked, entering the kitchen.

"It's just your youngest, in love," replied one of the cooks. "He came to work today so happy that it spread to everyone."

"How nice. Where is he hiding now?"

"He went outside for a break."

The owner of the restaurant thanked her with a smile and moved in the indicated direction. She found her youngest offspring staring at the photos on his phone as he sighed softly, probably with longing. She couldn't help but giggle under her breath. Makary turned towards her, hiding the device behind his back. The woman sat down next to him on the stairs.

"I heard that you're in an exceptionally good mood today, I'm very happy about that, but I'm also sad for dad and myself," she said, nudging him slightly.

"Why?" Makary asked surprised, because he didn't remember that he could offend his parents.

"Well, so that our friend would have the opportunity to meet your boyfriend beforehand."

"I could have asked aunt not to tell you anything."

"In this case, it had to be done," Makary's mother laughed and put her hand on his shoulder.

"That's not the point. Look, honey, I know you haven't introduced your boyfriends to us in a long time, but even dad and I can see that this time is somehow different. That's why we would like to meet him, I have the impression that he is a special young man."

"How much do you know?"

"I've been collecting bits of information for a long time." She winked at him. "Of course, if you want it, don't feel obligated. I thought you could invite him to dinner, dad and I haven't finalized the details yet, but we want to invite you to dinner since our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary is coming up. Everyone would recognize him immediately unless you prefer us to meet separately."

"I will talk to him," replied Makary and lost himself in thought.

Mom was right, as long as the family knew when he was in a relationship, and while he declared himself single in his relationship status, he hadn't officially introduced any of his partners to them for years. He wondered if Błażej would even want this. Even the openness of his own family might not have been encouraging enough, after what the first year's relatives had done to him. Yes, it had crossed his mind a few times to introduce him, but they weren't officially a couple yet, and that would have been a serious step.
