Still reeling from her humiliation, Y/n felt a heavy weight in her chest as she trudged through her daily routine. Her recent failure at the homecoming event had left her feeling isolated and demoralized. Just as she was starting to doubt her place and value within the team, Vaiana approached her with a gesture of kindness.

"Hey, Y/n," Vaiana said, her voice carrying a supportive tone. "I know you've been having a tough time lately, and I wanted to extend an invitation to you. We're heading to the convention on the support of the people this weekend, and I think it might do you some good to join us."

Y/n looked up, surprised by the offer. "I don't know, Vaiana. I'm not sure if I'm in the right headspace for it. I feel like everyone's still thinking about that mess at the homecoming."

Vaiana shook her head, her expression reassuring. "It's not about avoiding what happened. It's about seeing the bigger picture and connecting with others who share your passion. Besides, the convention is a chance to focus on the positive side of our work. You've been doing great, and it's time to shake off the bullshit and get back to what you love."

Y/n hesitated, but the sincerity in Vaiana's voice made her reconsider. Maybe the convention was just what she needed to regain her confidence and find some much-needed perspective. "Alright," she agreed. "I'll come. Thank you for inviting me."

Vaiana smiled, clearly relieved and pleased by Y/n's decision. "Great! I think you'll find it really inspiring."

Upon returning to their former position as Motunui boat caretakers' office, Y/n was met with an unexpected sight. The office, which had been a familiar space for her, now buzzed with activity centered around their replacement, Anna Ana. Anna Ana was an ecstatic girl, brimming with enthusiasm and charm. Her presence seemed to have immediately won Moana's approval, and Y/n could see the trust that Moana had placed in her.

Anna Ana greeted Y/n with a bright smile. "Oh, Y/n! It's so wonderful to meet you! I've heard so much about you and your work. Moana has spoken highly of you."

Before Y/n could respond, Anna Ana's excitement was palpable. "I'm thrilled to be here and am looking forward to getting started. Moana has entrusted me with quite a bit of responsibility, including the keys to all the facilities. I hope to make a great impression!"

With a flourish, Anna Ana presented Y/n with a set of keys, each one labeled for various parts of the facility. "I'll be holding the fort while you're away, so feel free to leave everything in my capable hands. I promise to take good care of it all."

Y/n accepted the keys with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "Thank you, Anna Ana. I hope everything goes smoothly while we're at the convention."

As Y/n and Vaiana prepared to leave, they noticed a peculiar glint in Anna Ana's eyes—a sharp, almost calculating look that seemed at odds with her otherwise cheerful demeanor. Y/n couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Anna Ana than met the eye. Despite her best efforts to dismiss the nagging suspicion, Y/n resolved to keep an eye on developments from afar. As they left for the convention, Y/n's mind was occupied with a growing unease about the new caretaker's true intentions.
