In the dim glow of the evening, the castle was quiet, its halls echoing with the soft hum of nightfall. Snow White, having finished her duties for the day, hurried through the corridors, her thoughts fixed on one person—Y/n. Ever since Y/n had returned to the castle, their friendship had blossomed into something deeper, a connection that was unspoken yet undeniable.

Snow White had always admired Y/n's strength, her wit, and the way she could make even the darkest days seem brighter. Tonight was no different. Snow White found herself smiling as she reached Y/n's chambers, excitement bubbling in her chest.

She knocked softly on the door, and it swung open to reveal Y/n, dressed in a simple nightgown, her hair falling loose over her shoulders. There was a playful sparkle in her eyes as she looked at Snow White, who was slightly out of breath from her hurried journey across the castle.

"Y/n!" Snow White exclaimed, stepping inside. "I've been looking forward to seeing you all day."

Y/n grinned, leaning against the doorframe. "Well, I've been more excited for bed tonight."

Snow White blinked, caught off guard for a moment, before laughter bubbled up between them. Y/n's mischievous grin widened, and Snow White couldn't help but laugh along with her, the sound filling the quiet room.

"Oh, you tease," Snow White chuckled, playfully swatting Y/n's arm. "You always know how to make me laugh."

Y/n smirked, her tone light and teasing. "Someone's got to keep things interesting around here."

Snow White shook her head, still smiling as she closed the distance between them. "Well, mission accomplished. But now, I think we should both take advantage of that bed you're so excited about. I could use the rest after today."

Y/n raised an eyebrow, her smile softening. "Sounds like a plan. But only if you promise to keep me company."

"I wouldn't have it any other way," Snow White replied, her voice warm and sincere.

They settled onto the bed, the day's exhaustion catching up to them both. As they lay side by side, Snow White turned to face Y/n, her eyes soft with affection. There was a comfortable silence between them, the kind that only came with a deep understanding and trust.

"Thank you," Snow White said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"For what?" Y/n asked, turning to look at her.

"For always being here. For making me laugh when I need it the most," Snow White replied, her hand finding Y/n's under the covers.

Y/n squeezed her hand gently. "That's what friends are for. And maybe more than friends, someday."

Snow White smiled, her heart swelling with a warmth she hadn't felt in a long time. "Maybe," she agreed, her voice full of promise.

And with that, they drifted off to sleep, their hands still intertwined, their laughter still echoing in the quiet of the night.
