Pov Nobody
Paris was in the grip of fear as Hawk Moth unleashed a new wave of villains upon the city. These weren't just any supervillains—each attack was more brutal than the last, with explosions tearing through buildings and innocent lives hanging by a thread. Ladybug and Cat Noir were pushed to their limits, battling not only for Paris but for their very survival.
Amid this chaos, a new student arrived at Collège Françoise Dupont. Y/n kept to herself, blending into the background, but Marinette Dupain-Cheng couldn't help but notice something different about her. Y/n was sharp, quick, and had an uncanny ability to stay calm under pressure—traits Marinette recognized in herself as Ladybug. Something about Y/n felt familiar, yet dangerous.
It wasn't long before Y/n's quiet existence was shattered. During a particularly intense attack by a villain named Graviton, who could manipulate gravity, the school was targeted. As the ground split open and debris flew through the air, Y/n acted on instinct, pushing Marinette out of harm's way. But in doing so, she caught sight of something extraordinary—Marinette's secret transformation into Ladybug.
The next day, Y/n confronted Marinette. "I know what you are," Y/n said bluntly, cutting through Marinette's protests. "But I'm not here to expose you. We have a common enemy."
Marinette was taken aback, but there was no time to argue. Graviton was on a rampage, and Y/n revealed that she knew him from her past—a past she had hoped to leave behind when she moved to Paris. Y/n had once been involved in the world of mercenaries, and Graviton was one of the deadliest.
Their uneasy alliance began, each carrying their own burden of secrets and guilt. As they tracked Graviton's movements, the danger grew. He was working directly with Hawk Moth, and their plan was far more sinister than anyone realized. The fights escalated, becoming more violent with each encounter. Explosions rocked the city, and Ladybug and Y/n found themselves in life-or-death situations time and again.
During one battle, Graviton unleashed a gravity wave that sent Ladybug crashing through a wall. She barely had time to react before Y/n was at her side, blood dripping from a cut on her forehead. "We need to stop holding back," Y/n snapped, her voice laced with frustration. "This isn't a game, Marinette. People are dying."
The tension between them was palpable. Marinette, who had always tried to save everyone, was struggling with the weight of the decisions she had to make. Y/n, hardened by her past, urged her to accept the harsh realities of their situation. The language between them grew sharper, more intense, as their differences came to the forefront.
One night, after a particularly brutal fight, they found themselves alone on a rooftop, overlooking a city in ruins. The air was thick with tension. "You don't get it, do you?" Y/n said, her voice raw with emotion. "You can't save everyone. Sometimes, you have to choose who lives and who dies. That's the reality of this world."
Marinette clenched her fists, her heart heavy with the weight of Y/n's words. "I refuse to believe that," she shot back, her voice cracking. "There has to be another way."
Y/n shook her head, a bitter smile on her lips. "I used to think like you. But I learned the hard way that the world doesn't care about your ideals. It's kill or be killed."
Their argument was interrupted by a massive explosion that lit up the night sky. Graviton had struck again, this time targeting Adrien Agreste. Marinette's heart froze. She couldn't lose him—not like this.
They raced to the scene, but Graviton was ready for them. The fight that followed was unlike anything they had faced before. Buildings crumbled, and the ground shattered as Graviton manipulated gravity to his advantage. Ladybug and Y/n were thrown around like rag dolls, barely able to keep up with the relentless onslaught.
In the chaos, Adrien was trapped under a pile of debris, unconscious and barely breathing. Ladybug was torn—she needed to save him, but Graviton was growing more powerful by the second. Y/n, bloodied and bruised, looked at Marinette with a grim determination. "You need to make a choice, Ladybug," she said, her voice cold and unforgiving. "Save him or stop Graviton. You can't do both."
Marinette's heart ached, the weight of the decision crushing her. She had always believed in finding a way to save everyone, but now, with Adrien's life hanging in the balance, she realized that Y/n was right. There were no easy choices in war.
With tears in her eyes, Marinette made the hardest decision of her life. She handed Adrien's life to Y/n and charged at Graviton with everything she had. The fight was brutal, with Ladybug pushing herself to the brink. She used every trick, every ounce of strength, but Graviton was too powerful. Just as it seemed she would be defeated, Y/n, despite her injuries, unleashed a final, desperate attack, using Graviton's own powers against him.
The battle ended in a blinding explosion, leaving both Graviton and Y/n unconscious. Ladybug staggered over to them, her heart pounding in her chest. Y/n was alive, but barely, her body battered and broken. Graviton was defeated, but at a terrible cost.
As the dust settled, Ladybug cradled Y/n in her arms, guilt and sorrow overwhelming her. "I'm sorry," Marinette whispered, tears streaming down her face. "I'm so sorry."
Y/n looked up at her, pain etched across her face, but there was no anger in her eyes—only understanding. "You did what you had to do," Y/n replied weakly. "That's what it means to be a hero."
In the aftermath, Paris slowly began to heal, but the scars remained. Y/n recovered from her injuries, but the experience had changed both her and Marinette. They had faced the harsh realities of their world, and though they had survived, they knew that the fight was far from over.
Y/n stayed in Paris, no longer the quiet, mysterious student she had once been. She and Marinette formed a bond forged in the fires of battle, one that would only grow stronger as they continued to protect their city. But the knowledge of the choices they had made—of the lives they couldn't save—would always linger in the back of their minds, a constant reminder of the price of heroism.
