Xia Yao's POV

These past few days had been very stressful for me. My mum wanted me to help her redecorate her room and now my back hurt from carrying all the heavy furniture. Instead of hiring people to do so, she wanted me to do all the work. I swear she loved to see me suffer.

Yuan Zong was getting on my last nerve, also. Even though he hadn't done anything to me these past few days. He still annoyed me. Right now I was in my office, going through a bunch of paperwork that had to be done within an hour, so I could then send it back.

"Xia Yao." Couldn't he have knocked?

"Yes, sir?"

"How do you feel about switching offices?" What the hell?

"What? Where to?"

"Switching your office with Peng Ze." I couldn't believe what I just heard. He seriously wanted to have Peng Ze so close to him?

"What! Why?!"

"I decided to have Peng Ze accompany me to my meetings. It would be better for him to be near me so he wouldn't have to walk so much." What a stupid excuse!

"No." I said stubbornly. No way in hell was he going to take my office.

"Well, you don't really have a choice." He was raising his voice now.

"What about me?" I was feeling pretty upset about this whole situation.

"What about you? You are going to continue work, just like before."

"No. I won't leave." Crossing my arms over my chest, I looked up at him, pouting.

"Xia Yao. If I have to carry you there, I don't care. I will."

"Then do it. I'm not going to leave."

"Don't you dare talk like this to me, your boss."

"So what! Do you love Peng Ze now?" I didn't even know why I was making such a big deal out of this. He just pissed me off. It wasn't fair!

"Watch your language." I rolled my eyes at him. He sounded just like my mother.

"So you do..."

"I don't. And even if I did, it's none of your business."

"Then why don't you move him into your office? Your office is big enough to fit 5 people in there."

"You are leaving and that's final."

"You are doing this on purpose!"

"Doing what? And stop whining."

"Provoking me!" God, I sounded like a child.

"No."

"Don't you love me?" I couldn't believe I was pulling that on him. How desperate was I?

"You know I do."

"Then let me stay here." He sighed, coming closer. Oh no.

"Why do you want to stay here so bad? Don't I annoy you?"

"Oh yes. You do, boss."

"You know, Xia Yao. You are lucky you are pretty."

"I'm not pretty! Stop saying that!"
