Rae's POV:

"I just talked to a magazine company, and apparently people aren't believing you guys are together. They are suspecting the publicity stunt, and this magazine wants to print a story saying you guys are frauds. We need to make sure they think you are together." John walks over to where the boys and I are standing, sliding his phone into his pocket. I catch Brady staring at me, and I stick my tongue out at him.

"How do you suppose we do that?" I ask John, crossing my arms over my chest.

"You have to kiss and get caught on camera." He quips bluntly.

"What?!" Brady and I both shout at the same time.

"Don't mock me!" Brady screams rudely at me.

"I'm not!" I whine, mocking his five-year-old-throwing-a-tantrum tone. So much for being nice. And just when I was beginning to think I could forgive him.

"I know you guys don't really like each other but Brady you NEED this!" John yells over us, causing us to stop talking. We both look over in his direction as he continues. "You've been acting out so much lately that people are starting to hate you. Being with Rae would show that you aren't the bad boy you seem to be. I know it seems like stupid logic, but people truly belive that if someone can hold a strong relationship, then they can't really be that crazy."

"I'm not kissing her! She's with Drew. It would break his heart. Maybe I like being a bad boy." Harry argues, shrugging slightly. Now he cares about someone else's feelings?

"Yeah no way! For once Brady and I agree." I add, glaring at Brady. From the corner of my eye, I catch him roll his eyes.

"Please! Do it for me! I won't have a job if he fails." Chance pleads, giving me the puppy dog eyes.

"You could make it on your own!" I protest.

"I like being in a band with my four best friends," Chance shoots back. I sigh because they all know I'm a sucker when it comes to my brother.

"Ugh! Fine!" I exclaim in exasperation, throwing my arms up in frustration. Brady gives me a bewildered look, his mouth falling open and his eyebrows raising in shock.

"No way!" He protests.

"Brady you have to do this. I know you love being a singer, and if you don't want to go down in flames, then you need to do this." John says calmly. Brady rolls his eyes as a silent tension fills the air around us.

"Fine! When are we supposed to kiss?" He asks, anger prominent in his voice.

"Tonight on stage. I hired a camera crew specifically to capture this moment. After you sing the second to last song, you pull her out and introduce her as your girlfriend. Then you will say something, she will find it sweet, and you guys will kiss." John explains, not even looking up from his phone. We go to object but John interrupts us.

"No ifs, ands, or buts about it!" He snaps his fingers as if to say that's all that will be said about the topic and walks away, typing away at his phone. Brady and I groan in disgust, and I cross my arms over my chest in frustration.

"You're on!" John yells over his shoulder, pointing to the stage. I grumble and walk to my spot, being handed a mic. I slide my earpieces in and take a deep breath. The stage rises, and I sing my heart out, knowing that in an hour and a half, I have to kiss the boy that hurt me so long ago.

------------

When I finish my set list, the crowd cheers loudly and I thank them politely before walking off stage towards the boys.
