What a Mess (Chapter 9)

Sky's POV:

"He did what?!" Kayte looks at me in awe as a few stylists work on our hair for my party tonight.

I nod slightly and look at her through the mirror. "You heard me. Michael kissed me. I didn't know how to react so I just stood there and he said to forget it happened before he walked away. I feel bad for not saying anything, but I was so shocked."

Kayte shakes her head and waves her hands in the air slightly. "I don't even know what to say right now. You had two hot guys kiss you yesterday."

I sigh and bite my lip. "Kay that's not the point. What do I do? If Brady finds out that Michael kissed me too, he's going to get so pissed. Both of them are going to be here tonight."

"Okay, well..." Kayte thinks for a moment. "Did you feel something with Michael?"

"I liked it for sure which scares me because just hours before I was convinced I'm in love with Chance," I explain quietly.

"So you're not in love with Chance?" Kayte asks, a hint of disappointment in her voice.

I groan a bit and close my eyes. "I don't know! Every time I think about him, my stomach gets all fluttery and my heart races and I smile. When I think about Michael I can't help but smile either though."

Kayte huffs in defeat. "Honestly, right now, even though Brady wants you to pick immediately, I think you need to take your time and really figure out who you want to be with."

I nod again as my stylist finishes up my hair and the makeup artist comes over to begin my makeup. "Yeah I think you're right. I just wish there was a sign telling me who's better for me."

Kayte laughs. "Trust me, if there were flashing signs for this kind of stuff, I'd be the first to use them because I don't have the best judgement."

"Says the girl who is dating, and madly in love with, her best friend!" I quip, making her grin.

About an hour later, Kayte and I are finally ready for the party. She's dressed in a green strapless, sequined dress and black heels, her hair pinned into a bun neatly on top of her head. I'm wearing a rose gold, low cut dress that hugs everything perfectly with silver heels and jewelry to balance the look. My hair is curled loosely, half of it pinned up.

There's a knock on my hotel room door then and Kayte walks over to open it as I fix my lipstick quickly.

"Wow look how gorgeous you look!" I hear Brady compliment Kayte. She giggles and they share a small and sweet kiss.

"Aw look at you two. Couple goals!" I tease. Brady rolls his eyes and walks over to me, kissing my cheek softly.

"You look amazing. Are you ready for tonight?" He asks.

"Ready for all eyes to be on me as I drop my first single? Not really, but the nerves will disappear when I sing," I say, taking a deep breath.

Brady smiles and we all head to the elevator. "That's exactly how I felt the first time we performed as a group, outside of the finale of course. It's the most amazing feeling though when you're finally up there doing what you love."

I smile and nod. "Yeah, I honestly can't wait."

"Girl look at you!" I look over my shoulder and laugh as Sergio, Drew, Michael, and Chance walk over, all dressed to perfection as always.

Sergio gives me a small hug. "Tonight's your night! Are you excited?"

"Of course I am!" I grin and hug Drew then who smiles and squeezes my hips playfully.
