GIA POV
Seeing how happy Delano has been since meeting his dad. But at the same time it breaks me to see how this will all end. It's like the boy inside Delano is elated that his daddy is back. "You know since you're always here... you should just move in".
"Nah... I'm good where I am" I said.
"Are you ever in your own house?" He asked.
"I would be... if you would keep your hands off of me" I said.
He laughed "what an excuse that was".
"But it's the truth... but since you think I'm not home enough. Let me get my clothes and get my ass home" I joked. He pulled back onto the bed "no need to rush".
"That's what I thought" I smirked.
"Then kids are at school and well Harlow is taking her nap. So let's just enjoy the peace and quiet before the hurricane of kids come running in this house" he said.
"Well I have a tornado named Salem who runs through my house and destroys everything in sight" I joked. We laid there just talking. It was nice. "So you know those brownies your dad brought over? It had nuts in it. I'm like who in the world makes brownies with nuts anymore. And why would he take a chance and bring that here not knowing if any of the kids had a nut allergy".
"You think he did that on purpose?" He asked.
"I can't say. So I don't know" I lied. The look on Delano's face was hard to break. "I don't think he would come here and purposely try and kill you".
"Are you sure?" I asked.
He nodded "yeah I'm sure. He's my dad. He probably didn't realize the thing had nuts in it".
"If you say so" I said.
"Look I know he's a new person in our lives and it's a little weird but let's give him a chance and see where it goes" he said. I guess he doesn't see where this is going.
"Sure" I said. It's obvious Delano isn't going to see anything negative about his father. "Good, now let's have round three before Harlow wakes up". After that workout I went back home. Delano was right I wasn't home as much anymore. Salem came through the door and ran up to me "hi mommy".
"How was daycare?" I asked.
"Good" she answered. She ran to play with Harlow who was walking around with her toys. This house was blazing hot. Turning the thermostat down so at least the air will be comfortable. "Mommy you're always hot!".
"I know! You're not hot?" I asked.
She shook her head "no".
Ryan and Kai still had their room here. They didn't take everything to their dads house. Figuring if they had to come over here at least their room wasn't totally empty. But I always went to straighten up because Salem will always make her way in here.
Seeing paper on the ground I picked it up. Something under Ryan's bed caught my attention. Crawling under it I pulled out a wallet. Hmm... nine of my children had wallets. Lord, please tell me my sons aren't thieves!. Opening the wallet I saw a drivers license... it was Levi's. How in the world did Ryan get a hold of this?!.
Walking out the room I put the wallet in my coat pocket. Picking up the phone I called Delano. "Miss me already?".
"Funny, where's Ryan? I need to speak with him!" I said.
"Hold on" hearing him call Ryan. I heard his footsteps get closer to the phone. "Hey mom".
"Don't you Hey me! Why did you have Levi's wallet under your bed?!" I asked.
"Was it Levi's? I found that and it had money so I took it" he said.
"Ryan?... come on now" I said.
"What?! I found it. I didn't even realize it was Levi's" he said.
"Where did you find this?" I asked.
"It was on the side of the street when Kai and I walked home from the park" he said.
"You know I don't even know if you're telling me the truth... but that story does sound Plausible" I said.
"Because it's the truth... I didn't know it was Levi's" he said. Ryan can be very convincing and persuasive when he's ready. I sighed "fine".
"Anything else?" He asked.
"No, put dad back on the phone" I said. Hearing the exchange "what happened?".
"I was cleaning up their room and found Levi's wallet under Ryan's bed. He says he found it but I doubt that. Something isn't right... Levi hasn't been seen and our boys have his wallet in their room. That doesn't sound suspect to you?".
"Maybe Ryan did find it on the side of the road. Give him the benefit of the doubt" he said.
"Oh yeah just like I should give your dad the same thing when he intentionally put nuts in those brownies" I said..
"Can we not start with that again?" He asked.
"You know what... I'm hanging up. I already see this conversation isn't going anywhere"... ending the call I just huffed. Delano is just letting things go for some odd reason. First the boys and now his dad. It's like we switched sides!.
