[A month later]...

So much happening in a short period of time. I got a business opportunity last week. But the opportunity is on the east coast. I take this deal and I'll make more money. Not that I need more money. But it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. I've lived in Arizona majority of my life. Been many places but not on the east coast. Mainly Connecticut. So used to the constant warm weather abs now maybe shifting to unpredictable weather.

"Hello!" Gia yelled.

"In my room" I yelled back. The kids were at school minus Harlow. Gia slowly walked in the room with Harlow. "Why is it so dark in here?" She opened up the curtains on the windows.

"Just thinking" I said.

"About what?" She asked. I wasn't sure if I wanted to tell her about what's circling in my mind. "Umm.. I need you to sit down". She looked a little nervous "is something wrong?".

"No, but last week I got a good business opportunity which would accumulate more money" I said.

"That's great!" She smiled.

"But... the offer is on the east coast. Connecticut" I said. Her face went from happy to confusion. "Are you going to take it?" She asked.

"Honestly, I want to. But I'm thinking about you and the kids. I don't want to move and the boys follow. You'll never see them. Unless you come with me" I said. I would want Gia to come with me. There's no need to break up a family. It's a lose, lose situation for the both of us. She'll only see the boys during school breaks and vice versus with me seeing the girls.

"So?..." I asked.

"Delano that's a big decision to make. It's not like it's a city over. It's across the country!" She said. Taking a seat next to her on my bed. "Trust me, I know. I've been thinking about this all week".

She sat there just in her own little world. Grabbing her hand "look how about we ask the kids how they feel about this. And if there reaction is good then it's up to us to decide".

Gia turned to me and I saw the worry in her eyes. "Don't worry. I wouldn't move all of us without seriously thinking and planning carefully".

"Fine, when the kids come home we run it by them first" she said. Hearing something fall we both turned to see Harlow laughing as she watched the mess on the floor. Salem part two.

Later on in the day all three kids were here. We called them to the living room. "Okay so mom and I have something to ask you all" I said.

"You don't even have to ask. We all want you guys back together!" Ryan said.

"That wasn't the question. But thank you for you input" Gia said.

"Oh well... I had to make sure you heard me out" he smiled.

"Anyway... I was offered a business opportunity which will make more money. But it's on the east coast. How would you three feel if we moved to Connecticut?" I asked.

They looked at each other "I don't know where that is" Salem said. I laughed at her cuteness. "Connecticut? Really?"Ryan asked.

"Yes! If you guys agree to move then mom and I will discuss it and make the final decision". Ryan and Kai stared at each other but it seemed like they were talking to each other. "Where's Connecticut?" Salem asked. Gia pulled out her phone and brought up a picture of the US map. "It's right here. And we are here. So it's far".

"Oh! Does it snow there?!" She asked.

We nodded.

"I want to go! I can sing let it go in the snow like Elsa!" She was way too excited.

"Well Salem is in board. How about you two?" I asked.

"Will mom and you be living together?" Kai asked.

We nodded "plus mom doesn't know her way around Connecticut".

"Okay we're fine with moving" Ryan said.

"Are you guys sure?" I asked.

They all nodded.

"When would we be moving?" Kai asked.

"After your school is done for the summer. I don't want to take you guys out of school" I said. Well the meeting went better than I thought. Now Gia and I sat at the dining room table "so? Are you okay with moving?".

"You know it's a new place, far away. But I don't have anything holding me here. I guess if I had family it would be different. So I guess I'm down for moving. I just hope we are making the right decision" she said.

"I've never moved us and it ended up a bad idea. If there's one thing I'm good at is finding a good house and moving" I joked.

"I guess Connecticut here we come" Gia said. Now all I have to do is call this guy back and let him know I'll accept the offer. Gia was right about not having anything holding us here in Arizona. Maybe this fresh start will be what we needed.
