Gia walked into my office with a full blown attitude "Well good morning to you too!" I said. She rolled her eyes as she placed her bag on the desk. "Where are the decorations?".
Pointing to the corner "right there".
"I still don't understand why I have to decorate for Christmas. We live in a state where it doesn't snow. It's near damn seventy degrees and we are in December" she complained.
"Gia the less you complain and the more you work you'll be done faster" I suggested.
"Whatever" she carried the box to the desk and went through it. "Wow we couldn't get updated decorations?". I was trying to get my work done but she kept distracting me. "Gia just go put the decorations up and I'll be checking to see how they look. If I don't like it you'll be doing it over".
"You enjoy this don't you?" She asked.
"More than you know. Are you coming to the Christmas employee party tonight?" I asked hoping she says yes. She sucked her teeth "not that I want to even go but Bria convinced me to go".
"Good, So now you have to make sure these decoration look nice. When someone ask who did them I can proudly say you did" I smiled.
"You make a big deal about everything" she said.
"When it's you... Yes" I said.
"There we go with the flirting... it's getting old" she said.
"Like I said before... you are taking my natural nature for flirting" she titled her head and gave me a full face of attitude "Delano I'm not dumb".
"No one said you were. I'm just stating I wasn't flirting with you" I said.
"Yeah okay sure. Is your girlfriend going to be at the party tonight?" She asked. Unfortunately she will be there. "Of course she'll be there".
"That's good" she said.
"Why do you want to know?" I asked.
"So I don't have to deal with your corny comments. At least you'll be busy... thank god" she said. I couldn't help but laugh "Gia you're funny".
"Am I? Or is it because you know I'm stating a fact?" She said.
Clearing my throat "go start decorating". She picked up the box and walked out. About ten minutes later she dropped the empty box "I'm done, adios".
"Nope! Let's go check what you did" I got up and walked outside to see how she decorated. Seeing the bows weren't straight "Gia really?! You need to fix the bows".
"The bows are fine. Unless you have OCD then you fix them" she said. Gia's mouth was trying me today.
That night my girlfriend and I were standing in the corner of the beach. It was nighttime and the weather was actually a lot colder than normal. Gia and Bria both walked in. My eyes went straight to gia who actually had make up on. She was already beautiful and the make up just made her glow.
Bria walked past me and winked. Ignoring her advances seeing Gia walk past me "you look nice". I said that so only Gia and I heard what I said. She sucked her teeth and moved her feet. I smiled to myself.
"Babe this is nice. Love the decorations!" My girlfriend said. My mind was on Gia though. "I'm going to my office real quick. I'll be back. Feel free to roam around". She nodded "okay".
When I walked up to the door I saw Gia sitting on the bannister. She looked a little upset. "Everything okay?".
She wiped her eyes quickly "yeah I'm fine". But I knew she wasn't okay. What happened in the time span of her walking in to me walking up here?. "Are you sure?" I asked.
"Delano can you leave me alone?. Thanks" she said.
Walking in my office I went to finish up some stuff. The windows I had were pretty big. I had view of Gia and the front of the office. Looking up I saw Bria approach Gia with her hands just speaking for her. Gia didn't move or look at her. These two looked like the best of friends.
Bria seemed upset and annoyed. Before I knew it bria stormed off. Leaving Gia still sitting there. I sighed... getting up I walked to the door "how are you getting home?".
She turned to me "I'll cab it".
"Is everything okay?" I asked.
She shrugged "apparently I've done something I'm not sure what that is... but I'm a horrible human being. Bria I think she likes you. And she's upset because she feels I'm flirting with you. And I'm not".
I laughed "I'm sorry but it's funny. You girls are too much".
"It is funny but it's annoying too. I keep having to prove that I find you disgusting. Cause I do" she said. Looking up I saw a mistle toe... "look what I found". Gia looked up and raised her brow "go get your girlfriend".
"Doesn't work that way" I said.
"Delano..." she warned.
"Don't blame me! Blame tradition" I smiled. Walking up to her she looked nervous. For someone who found me disgusting she shouldn't be nervous. Leaning down I pecked her lips. Lord the way her plump lips felt against mine was amazing. She pushed me back not saying a word. Hoping off the bannister she walked off. Leaving me there smiling.
