DELANO POV

[flashback]...

When I hit my twenties and I mean early twenties my mom had given me an inheritance check from my grandfather. He was known for being the best at real estate. The house we live in was because of my grandfather. He bought the land and built the house on it. He invested a lot in properties which in turn made him money. Very smart move. Hence why I followed in his footsteps.

My mom thought I would've spent the money she gave me. Didn't realize my grandfather left me over one hundred thousand dollars. I knew this beach that I would always be at for parties or just to relax. The owner was selling it and I wanted it. Now when my mom found out she wasn't happy at all. She claims it was a huge waste of money.

What does she know?.

Fixed up the place. Bought new furniture and all. Reopened the place and before I knew it... money was rolling in. In order to even come to this beach you'll need to buy a pass. It ranges in prices. Obviously I'll need worker to tend to customers and to make sure the beach is cleaned properly. Along with lifeguards.

My friends weren't to happy that I invested my money in something like this.

"D I can't believe you wasted that money for this junk of a place" brad said.

"Don't really care what you think" I smiled.

"What girl is going to want to hear that you own a beach? Sounds lame" he said.

"That's her lost" I said. Looking out the window I notice a girl sitting on the sand just looking out to the water. Brad noticed as well "her again?".

"Yeah she's always here. Strange! I was going to tell her to leave but something was holding me back" I said.

"I'll tell her for you" he went to the door. I ran after him stopping him. Glancing at the girl wondering why is she always here? "Just leave her alone". Something in me was stopping me from telling her to get off of my property. I don't know what. She turned to look at me and we stared at each other for a moment. She quickly turned her head the other way. Soon she got up and ran off. Very strange. Maybe one day I'll speak to her to see why she's always here.

"Good riddance! She's lucky you stopped me from throwing her out of here!" Brad said.

"She probably would've slapped the shit out of you" I joked.

"Girls love me!" He said.

"Yeah... right" I said.

"So... talk about girls... what's up with you and what's her name?" He asked.

"There's no girl. She was a good lay... decent but nothing else. Plus, she was boring!" I said.

"Well as long as you got the goods. I mean who wants to have a conversation with a girl anyway. Nothing but the same shit comes out of their mouths. Just let me get it in and that's it" he said.

And this is why brad hasn't had a girlfriend before. He's such a caveman it's sickening. Don't really know how we are friends. "What am I wrong?" He asked.

"You want me to lie or tell you the truth?" I asked. Ha sucked his teeth "whatever man". He ended up leaving to go meet some other friends. I sat in my office alone. Before I was about to leave that same girl was on the beach. Now I was curious. Slowly walking up to her "sorry but the beach is closed". She turned to me loving the hair out of her face "oh sorry". She got up and brushed the sand off of her. When I say she was beautiful. "Umm can I ask why do you come here so much?". She looked down "I just like it here".

She was about the same age as my sister. But then again what teen would come here so much alone?. Before she left she turned to me "you own this place?".

I nodded.

"Cool, must be a fun job to have" she smiled.

"It has its perks" I said.

"Maybe one day I can work here" she joked.

"Maybe" I said. Silence fell between us. But I was so taken on how pretty she was. I hope she doesn't notice I was staring at her. She smiled "well Thanks for letting me sit here".

"No problem" she walked away. All I could do is watch. Dammit I didn't get her name! Way to go Delano. Way to go!. I'll see her again anyway. She was a sweet girl too. So I'll let her feel free to sit here if it's helpful for her. Sighing I walked back to the parking lot. Making sure the office was locked. And the gate was locked as well to get to the beach.

I hated going home alone. It was one of the worst feelings for me. So usually I would call someone to come over and we hook up and then they leave. Looking through my phone I went searching to see who the lucky girl would be tonight.
