Delano told me about what Harlow had told him. It did hurt to hear she thinks we favor a particular child. Now I don't know where she got the idea that I favor Ryan more than the others. But I made it a point for Delano and I to take Harlow on a lunch date and to explain to her the best way we could.
"I like hanging out with you guys" Harlow smiled. Now I would've sat down next to Delano but she beat me to it. "Mommy can I get whatever I want?".
"Sure!" I said. Now Delano was in the midst of answering emails. He took off for Harlow so we could hang out with her. "Good afternoon! And how may I help you all today?".
"Yes! Can I get the grilled cheese sandwich and fries. I want a cookies and cream milkshake too!" Harlow said.
"Well aren't we hungry!" The woman joked.
"Yup she is. Could I get the vegetable wrap with a salad? And a lemonade" I said. Delano wasn't hungry he was too busy working from his phone. But he looked cute nonetheless.
"Hey mister! Can we focus at the task at hand here?" I asked. He looked up and smiled "sure".

"Harlow daddy told me you asked him about who's his favorite... and I must say Ryan isn't my favorite. We don't have any factories we love you all the same" I said.
Harlow blinked at me twice "Mom? Come on! You can see how you treat Ryan differently than me or Kai".
"Like how?" I asked.
"You show him a lot more attention and you hug him more" she said.
"I hug Kai as well and you too" I said.
"But the way daddy treats Salem is not like how he treats me. It's like he wants to hang with Salem than me. He bought her a dog! He's always buying her stuff" she said. Delano looked up from his phone "in my defense I only bought Salem that dog because she was going through something tough. And I buy you things as well. What about that Barbie dream house I just bought you two days ago?".
"Oh yeah! But still... and when these two come along you'll just forget about me!" She looked down at her napkin she was playing with.
"We will not forget about you. We didn't forget about Kai or Salem when you came along. Every one of you have your own personality. How could we even forget any of you guys?" Delano said.
Harlow smiled "I guess".
"Now to clear up what you asked. We both have a special bond with each of you. But in a different way. Like how Ryan likes video games... and so does Kai but I play with them both. Or how Salem likes eating. Delano takes her out to eat once a week. And you... well you are into barbies. Don't we play barbies on Fridays?" I said.
She nodded "yeah we do".
"Okay then so there you go" I said. The waitress came with our food and Harlow was happy. That smile appeared on her face. "Daddy? Can you get off your phone and eat?".
"I can do that!" Delano placed the phone in his pocket and ate off Harlow's plate. She loved that she can share her food with him. I'm so happy we cleared up this misunderstanding. "Wait? Is that why you don't like Salem?".
She nodded "I thought daddy likes her better than me".
"Makes sense now" I smiled.
"Harlow I love you and Salem the same" he said.
"I know" she batter her eyelashes. This little was too much. When we were done we took her to get some ice cream. She was so happy. As we walked to the car she wanted to hold hands with us.
When we got home Harlow was all smiles. She even went to pet the dog. What a damn relief!.
Later on that night Salem was on the couch with the dog. I was washing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen when I saw Harlow come out and sit next to Salem petting the dog. Salem raised her brow "what are you doing?".
"Sitting next to my sister" Harlow smiled.
Salem looked confused but didn't say anything. I smiled at the fact these two can be civil with each other. Delano came out and stopped "is everything okay?".
I nodded "yeah, everything is good". He continued to walk past the living room to go to the pantry. Whatever movie they were watching put them to sleep. But it was so cute the way they both were sleeping on the dog. Taking a picture of this cause no one will believe this.
Putting the girls to bed. I made sure they were comfortable before closing their door. Delano grabbed me making me jump "you really need to stop scaring me. Or these twins will be born soon".
"Sorry! Just want my wife in bed" he smirked.
"I give you ass one time and you never been the same" I joked. He pulled me to him "what can I say? The new tight feeling got me hooked".
Rolling my eyes at his comment. I walked in front of him to our bedroom. He slapped my butt making me move faster. He closed the door locking it. Hopefully none of the kids interrupt this time.
