GIA POV
[a month later]...
I've been at this new job for a month now. Basically the same thing I was doing at my previous job in Arizona. The workers are so friendly and fun. Usually in the other place I was only friends with Ron and that's it.
"Hey Gia since you're the new girl and all you should come out with us tonight for drinks" my coworker said.
"Oh I don't know" I said.
"Come on! A little time off from being a mom isn't a bad thing. I have three at home myself" she said.
Scratching my scalp "I guess". She smiled "good so we'll leave straight from here". I nodded picking up my phone I texted Delano about going out. He was reluctant about me going but he was okay with it. Just okay. After work i drove myself and my coworker to the bar we were all going to. "Do you drink?".
"Not really" I said.
"Figured you didn't" she joked. This woman was much older than me. She looked older than she actually was. But she was very nice and loved to laugh. "It's here on your left" she said.
Pulling into the parking lot. We got out and walked in. There was at least five of our coworkers already there. "Everyone this is gia the new girl" she said. Everyone greeted me. I smiled back. "Come on! Take a seat and have a drink". Sipping my drink slowly cause I didn't need to be drunk around these people.
A young man came and sat next to me. "Gia? Right?" He asked. I nodded "yup.. and you are?".
"I'm Jacob. Nice to meet you" he shook my hand. Silence filled the small space between us. "I can tell you are not from here". That made me smile "actually I'm not. Can you guess?".
He stared at me "I say... Florida?".
"I wish. But no I'm from Arizona" I said. He smiled "really? I wouldn't have guessed". We talked for some time and he was a nice guy. Made me laugh majority of the time.

Jacob and I were dancing to some song. A few drinks and everything was a blur. The next morning I awoke in a different bed naked. I jumped up and gasped. Jacob awoke with a smile "Hey beautiful".
I didn't even say anything "You okay?" He asked.
"I can't believe we..." he cut me off "we did and let me tell you... you are a freak!". I blushed "I need to go".
"No need to be ashamed. I enjoyed every bit of last night and I know you did too. You kept saying something about a Delano" he said.
"I really need to go! Like now!" I said. Getting up I grabbed whatever clothing was on the floor. "Look, are you going to be okay?" He asked.
"Let me ask this one question... did we use a condom?" I asked.
"Yeah.... see" he pointed to the open wrapper. Breathing a heavy sigh of relief. "Thank god!". I quickly put my clothes on and raced out of there. I know Delano blew up my phone last night. I didn't even want to check it. Fixing myself to look at least presentable before walking inside my house.
"Hey! Where have you been?" Delano asked.
"Umm I got a little too tipsy and I couldn't drive so I stayed over a workers home" I lied.
Delano raised his brow "and you couldn't call to let me know. I was sitting here worried".
"Sorry... but I need to shower and stuff" racing to the bathroom closing the door and locking it. Watching my reflection in the mirror. I can't believe I slept with Jacob. What the hell happened?!.
After my shower I felt a little clean. But I still smelled Jacob on me. "Mom where were you last night?" Ryan asked.
"Out and about why?" I asked.
"No reason. You just wasn't here" he said.
"But I'm here now, right?" I said. He shrugged and walked in the kitchen. Trying my best to forget what happened. "How was last night?" Delano asked.
"It was okay" I said.
"Just okay?" He asked.
"What's with the third degree? I said it was okay" I said. He put his hands up "just wanted to make sure you enjoyed yourself".
"I did and thank you" I said. Not really wanting to talk to anyone. I was still exhausted from last night and what happened is messing with me. The rest of the day I just chilled out on the couch. Jacob kept texting me but not wanting Delano to see it I deleted it. Lord, my life just got ten times harder.
