KAI POV

In the middle of playing my video game I heard something. Taking my headphones off just trying to see if I actually heard something. The loud thud made me jump. Followed by arguing. I slowly crept my way to the open door. Peeking my head out slightly.

"Are you sure that baby is mine?" My dad asked.

"Of course it is!" My mom said.

"It could be that man you slept with the other night. I can't believe you gia! I can't even look at you" my dad stormed to their room slamming the door. Looking both ways I wasn't sure what to do. Hearing my mom cry. I slowly went to check on her "mom?".

She quickly wiped her tears "Yeah? What's up?". Sitting next to her "are you okay?". She nodded "I'm fine". Looking at her and then I saw the hole in the wall. "What happened over there?" I asked. She turned to see it "oh nothing!". She was lying. I knew that was the loud noise I heard.

"Dad did that" I said. She didn't answer me. That's when we heard a small crash of things in their room. Making us jump she looked at me "Kai listen just stay in your room until I tell you to come out, okay?".

"But..." she cut me off "just go!" She said. I got up and walked back to my room. This wasn't good at all. Something bad happened. Before I went to my room I got Harlow and brought her into my room. I didn't need her to hear or witness anything. She's too young for that. She looked at me confused. "Here watch the tablet" she smiled.

Looking at the time and saw it was still a little early before Ryan and Salem get home. Continuing with my game making sure it was loud enough. Didn't want to hear anything that was going on out there.

Two hours later I heard the front door open and close. Ryan and Salem were home. Thank god. Ryan came in and saw Harlow. "Why is she in the room? And why is there a hole in the wall outside?".

"Mom and dad got into an argument and he punched the wall. Something bad happened. All I know mom is having another baby. And dad asked if it was his. I think mom cheated on dad" I said. Ryan rolled his eyes "oh boy".

"Yeah that's why she's in here. Didn't want her to witness anything" I said.

"Well in that case... good job. Where is mom?" He asked.

"She was in the living room when I last saw her" I said. Ryan looked outside the room and saw dad coming in with Salem. "Dad looks like crap".

"He's mad at mom for cheating. But didn't he do the same exact thing?" I asked. Being a little confused. Ryan nodded "he did. But what he did was a lot worst".

"So why is he so upset with mom?" I asked.

"That I don't know. You know their views on each other is a little weird" he said.

"True... what if this breaks them up again? We are in a different state this time" I asked.

"They won't break up. Mom cheated on dad? That's a little weird too. I mean she may at times dislike him. But to cheat on him... that doesn't sound like her" he said.

"Well.. from what I heard she did" I said. Ryan stood there just in a thought "I'm just not buying mom cheated".

"How can you be so sure?" I asked. Ryan was the oldest and he knew mom better than any of us. "Look mom May be a little off at times but she really loves dad. He's the only one who gets her. So I don't see why she would mess that up". Ryan looked outside the room again. "Dad is pacing".

"He's mad! I mean mad" I said.

"I don't see why. When he did the same thing" he said.

"I guess cause she's having another baby and he's not sure if it's his" I said.

"Oh! Well I mean makes sense why he's upset. But something about this whole situation isn't right" he said. Salem came in "I'm hungry! And daddy is... well grumpy".

"Well you'll have to wait a little bit. For the meantime eat these crackers" she smiled "my Kai". Shaking my head cause now she was hugging my arm as she was eating the crackers. Harlow glanced up and went back to watching the tablet. Ryan looked outside the room "Mom is back. And dad went outside".

"She looks broken. And confused" he said. Both Ryan and I walked out the room "hey mom".

"Hey! Who's hungry?" She asked getting some things out the cabinets. Ryan and I looked at each other "yeah Salem is starving" I said. My mom smiled "she's always hungry".

"Is everything okay between you and dad?" Ryan asked.

"Umm... yea and no. But don't worry everything will work itself out" she said. Ryan looked at the door and saw dad outside still. He looked at me and for the first time I saw the emotion of nervousness in his face. Usually Ryan doesn't show emotion so easily.
