RYAN POV
After lunch Kai and I walked back upstairs. A man in uniform walked passed us. We both turned around to see the principal speaking to the same man. I wonder why a cop is here?. Kai looked nervous but I wasn't. The principal motioned his hand to where the lockers were. The bell rang.
Kai and I went our separate ways. As the teacher was talking I looked out the door to see the same man looking at a paper and back at the lockers. What is he looking for?. I raised my hand to go to the bathroom. The man waved me down "Excuse me? Have you see this before?". He showed me a paper with a list on it. But the paper was old and the writing was faded.
"Nope, I haven't" I said. He gave me a small smile "well thanks anyway".
"Might I ask what's this for?" He turned around "well I shouldn't be telling you but a young man disappeared and his family is looking for him. Where he was last spotted... I found this paper. It looks like a child's writing. Hence why I'm here".
"Oh! Sorry to hear. But if I hear anything I'll give the police a call" I said.
"Thank you" He said. I watched him walk out of the school. That list was kai's. He can be careless sometimes. Luckily, he can switch up his handwriting. Kai unlike some people can write with both of his hands.
After school Kai and I walked home. He was a little shaken up about the cop. It could've been much worse. "What if they do some testing on the paper and find my DNA on it?".
"Kai we wore gloves. Trust me we are safe. But be t time we have to be careful" I said.
"Yeah, I don't think I'm cut out for this. You don't have any remorse but I do!" He said.
"So you're saying your done?" I asked.
He nodded "I'm stopping now before we get caught. Maybe you should stop too. This is a warning sign. You better take it and run".
I didn't respond.
"Ryan come on! Mom and dad are somewhat together. We don't need to kill anyone else. Just let time work it's magic" he said.
"I guess" I said.
"Trust me. If we stop now you'll thank me later on. Let's just be us and that's it" he said. Maybe Kai was right. We almost got caught and if we did it would be very bad. "Let's promise that we don't kill anyone else. No matter what the circumstances are". We did our secret hand shake.

DELANO POV
When Gia mentioned my sister I was surprised. Not knowing why gia met with her. She says because she wanted to give Emmalee a second chance. But I was skeptical about that.
I mean don't get me wrong. Therapy has taught me to forgive and forget but after what my family has done that's hard. Now my dad well he hasn't been around as much. But he's another story. But my sister we were once very close. Then she switched sides.
Raising her when we were young and protecting her from my mothers wrath. But from one memory there was this man who would come visit. He would always bring gifts for Emmalee. I never knew why though.
Hearing the door shut I heard footsteps. Kai and Ryan we're home. As they passed my den "How was school?".
"Eh, the same" Ryan said.
"As long as you guys are doing your work and getting good grades" I said.
"Of course we are" Kai said.
"Good! Any homework?" I asked.
"Yup! That's what we are going to do now" Kai said. These boys are so responsible!. Can't ask for more than that. When I heard their room door close I looked at the paper with my sisters number on it. Debating if I wanted to call her.
Folding up the paper and putting it in the drawer. I wasn't ready to speak to her. Gia will just have to be patient with me. "Daddy!" Salem yelled. I jumped in my seat. Didn't even hear her come in.
"Where's mommy?" I asked.
"She's out in the living room" she said.
Walking out to see Gia with Harlow "she doesn't feel well so I need you to watch Salem while we go to the doctor".
I nodded "yeah of course. What's wrong with Harlow?".
"She's burning up with a fever. I want to make sure it's nothing too serious" she said. Looking at Harlow she was just not being herself. Instead she was laying on Gia's shoulder. Poor thing.
"Hope you feel better" I said. She moaned and looked away from me. Gia basically ran out of the house. Salem looked at me "Can we go to the park?".
"I guess..." she jumped up in excitement. We both walked until Salem got a little silly.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Modeling daddy! This is how they walk on that long white thing" she imitated or tried to. I couldn't help but laugh. Salem is too cute when she wants to be. When we reached the park she was in her own world.
Making sure she wasn't all over the place. I took a seat on the bench and just watched her. A shadow came over me. Not looking to see who it was nor did I care. The person took a seat next to me.
"Hey son".
Turning my head I saw my dad.
"Hey".
"She's cute" he said.
"Why are you here? Haven't seen you around lately" I said
"Been busy" he said.
"You work?" I asked.
"Nope" he said. But he's been busy. Okay.
"So what brings you here? And how did you know I was here?" I asked. He paid attention to Salem and didn't answer the question. "Hello?".
He paused....
"Delano...."
