GIA POV

After we were done. I got up and went to grab my pants off of the floor. "So what did he say exactly?" Delano asked. He was still laying on the bed butt naked. How can I even focus with everything just hanging out?.

"You need to put on some pants first. I can't speak to you in a serious context with your friend just sitting there" I said.

"Whatever can be said in front of me can be said in front of my friend here" he joked.

"Delano..." I warned.

He got up and went to get a pair of shorts. Sitting back on the bed he watched me "better?".

Much! So your dad claimed that you were once arrested before... for allegedly raping a classmate" I said. He smiled "wow he's still bringing that up?".

"So it's true? I mean this is what I was saying before. You are just full of damn surprises" I said. He sighed
"When I was a senior in high school there was this party and this girl who liked me a lot. She wasn't my type at all. But at the same time I didn't want to hurt her feelings. So I just ignored her whenever she was around. So my friends at the time was having a end of the school year party. A big thing here at the time. Alcohol and drugs surfaced at the party as well. Being a young impress-able teen I drank. She came to the party with her friends. Everyone at one point was either high or drunk. I went upstairs to use the bathroom and I swore I closed the door. But she came barging in and pushing herself up against me. I wasn't trying to do anything with her. I pushed her off of me and said some harsh things. She stopped and started crying. I was too drunk to have any emotion so I just left her there. The next day, I had the police knocking on my door. Apparently she claimed I raped her in the bathroom".

"So you were lied on? What happened? And how did your dad know?" I asked.

"It was a big media thing. You wouldn't have heard about it. You were what eleven when I was seventeen?. So he could've heard it from the news. Well... the cops didn't have any evidence a rape happened. Then she broke down and told the truth. About how she made the whole story up because I rejected her advances".

Releasing a breath I was holding "oh thank god. "I knew you weren't a rapist. But wow that girl must've been psychotic to pin something like that on you and it never happened".

"She was a weirdo. She would follow me around school and just stare at me all day long" he said.

"Well when you are as handsome as you are now... I mean it'll be sort of hard not to stare. Just saying!" I teased.

"Round two?" He asked.

"Down boy!" I joked.

"Anything else?" He asked.

"Oh that you are just like your momma. How you have this monster inside you. And I haven't seen it and don't want to see it. He was just going off about you".

"And I know you don't believe any of that right?. You've seen all the ins and outs of me. We been together for a long time and four maybe five kids later... you would've saw any type of anger issues already" he said.

"Of course I don't believe him. But my thing is he lives in Arizona! How long as he been living here and you didn't know" I said.

He shrugged "that's a very good question".

"Look I know you want your dad. Totally understand the need for that. I was once in your shoes. But at the same time please be careful. He's already trying to start drama. At this point I don't think he's here to reconnect with you" I said.

He didn't say anything. His head was down and he looked a little sad. Walking up to him I hugged him "he wasn't here before and you won't need him now".

Again nothing was said. I didn't know what to say. Feeling so bad for him right now. He looked like a little boy who was disappointed that his father didn't show up to pick him up. A knock on the door made him look up. "Mommy open the door!".

"There goes Salem!" I mumbled. Opening the door I see Salem and Harlow "What?".

"Harlow keeps crying! She won't stop!" Salem said.

Looking at Harlow she seemed a little grumpy. "Maybe she needs a nap". Salem nodded "maybe". She looked into the den and saw her dad. "Is daddy okay?".

"Ask him" I said. She walked in and sat next to Delano "daddy you look sad".

He cracked a smile "I'm not sad".

"Yes you are" she said. But Salem knew what to do. She crawled into Delano's lap and hugged him. Watching them cuddle and seeing how much Salem was actually helping made me feel better."Don't be sad, you have me and Harlow".

"And?" I asked.

"That's it!" She said. Shaking my head "lets not forget you have two older brothers!"

"Oh yeah, and kai!" She said. You know what I'll let her go with that. Delano laughed a little "Salem you always know how to make daddy laugh".

"See?! So don't be sad!" She jumped down and ran off. We both looked at each other and shared a laugh.
